Objective: Observe the clinical efficacy of cutting and treating the inferior turbinate for allergic rhinitis, and compare it with the low-temperature plasma pre-ethmoidal nerve block method, and compare the clinical efficacy, safety, and patient compliance between the two,to provide a basis for the clinical application of TCM’s cutting therapy. Methods: 66 patients with allergic rhinitis were used to generate a random number table through Excel software, dividing evenly into test group and control group at 1:1,with 33 cases in each. The test group underwent nasal mound and inferior turbinate cutting surgery,The control group underwent low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation of the nasal mound.VAS and RQLQ was used as the main efficacy evaluation index, and nasal endoscopy was used as the second efficacy evaluation index.Follow up the subjects at different time points before treatment and 1,4,8,and 12 weeks after the end of treatment, and record patient’s scores, combined medications, and whether there are adverse reactions.Use SPSS23.0 software for statistical analysis based on the data obtained to evaluation and comparison of the efficacy of the two surgical methods. Results: 1.Analysis of patient general condition: General vital signs and routine laboratory indicators of patients in the preoperative amputation and plasma groups are within normal limits.2.Intragroup analysis:The overall symptom VAS score,RQLQ score, inferior turbinate swelling score,VAS score for individual symptoms of the nose: Average scores for the two groups gradually increased at 1,4,8,and 12 weeks before and after surgery. It decreased and there was a significant difference.Statistically significant(P<0.05),it prompts that both treatments are effective.3.Between-group analysis:3.1Overall symptoms, quality of life score and turbinate swelling degree score:Comparing the cutting treatment group and the plasma group,it was found that the overall symptoms,RQLQ,and inferior turbinate swelling scores were different(P<0.05).Estimated peripheral mean of the cut treatment group is lower than that of the plasma group, suggesting that the cutting treatment group had better efficacy than the Plasma group;3.2VAS score for each single symptom of nose:Comparing the cutting treatment group and the plasma group,it was found that there were differences in the scores of nasal itching, runny nose and nasal obstruction(P<0.05),and no difference in sneezing scores(P>0.05).The cutting group’s estimated marginal means are lower than the plasma group’s,suggesting that the cutting treatment group had better efficacy than the Plasma group. Conclusion: the cutting treatment of inferior turbinate and nasal colliculus helps improving symptoms, associated quality of life, and swelling of the inferior turbinates in patients with allergic rhinitis. In addition, the curative effect of cutting therapy is more stable than that of plasma therapy, and no serious adverse reactions occurred. |
