ObjectiveFSAS was used as the evaluation tool to assist laboratory indicators to systematically evaluate the efficacy of Astragalus acupoint injection in alleviating chronic fatigue syndrome(sub-health state),so as to provide scientific evidence for the discovery of clinical characteristics of acupoint injection.MethodsIn this study,108 patients with chronic fatigue syndrome(sub-health state)were enrolled in a randomized controlled multi-center clinical trial designed according to the requirements of "Guidelines for Evidence-based Research on Diagnosis and Treatment Techniques with Traditional Chinese Medicine",and 108 patients were randomly divided into 3 groups. The intervention period was 7 days,a total of 2 cycles.FSAS was used as the evaluation tool to assist laboratory indicators(SOD,MDA,ox-LDL,Hemoglobin)for dynamic monitoring within the cycle. The 14-day overall fatigue remission rate was used as the outcome index to evaluate the clinical characteristics of the three interventions in terms of fatigue remission types and fatigue characteristics.Results(1)The overall fatigue remission rate of experimental group was 90.63%,which was similar to that of control group 1(87.50%)(P>0.05)and better than that of control group 2(65.52%)(P<0.05).(2)In terms of improving the scores of fatigue types, after 14 days of intervention,Astragalus acupoint injection and ordinary acupuncture could both reduce the scores of physical and mental fatigue, and there was no statistical difference between them(P >0.05).There was a statistical difference between health education method and the other two groups in improving mental fatigue scores(P < 0.05).There was no statistical difference between the three groups in the improvement of fatigue result scores(P>0.05).(3)In terms of improving the fatigue characteristic score,Astragalus acupoint injection and ordinary acupuncture could both reduce the situational fatigue score, and there was no statistical difference between them(P > 0.05).However,Astragalus acupoint injection had statistical difference with the two control groups in improving the response of fatigue to sleep/rest(P < 0.05).The daily fatigue monitoring data showed that the daily fatigue rating scores of astragalus acupoint injection method and ordinary acupuncture method were basically consistent during the observation period.(4)Monitoring on the 7th day of intervention showed that Astragalus acupoint injection and ordinary acupuncture method could both reduce the contents of serum MDA and serum Ox-LDL and increase the activity of serum SOD,with statistical difference compared with health education method(P<0.05).Astragalus acupoint injection and ordinary acupuncture had statistical difference in reducing serum SOD activity(P < 0.05).ConclusionIn conclusion,Astragalus acupoint injection method and ordinary acupuncture method have similarities in terms of overall fatigue relief rate, fatigue type, fatigue characteristics and other manifestations as well as blood oxygen index regulation mechanism, which is different from the comfort effect of health education group in alleviating mental fatigue. At the same time, this study found that Astragalus acupoint injection can improve the response of fatigue to sleep/rest and significantly reduce the activity of serum SOD,compared with ordinary acupuncture method. It is further speculated that it may be related to the dual effect of "acupuncture point + drug injection",but it needs to be further studied. |
