Clinical Observation Of Tianwang Buxin Dan On Hyperthyroidism (Graves Disease) With Insomnia And Anxiety

Objective: From observing the clinical curative of Tianwang Buxindan on hyperthyroidism with insomnia and anxiety disorder(Yin deficiency and fire)and then explore the feasible method of TCM for this disease and serve better service for clinical patients.Methods: Hyperthyroidism in Chengdu TCM,they are anxious and losing sleep;Some people(30 people)we give Thyrozol and the others(30 people)we add Tianwang Buxin pill.Calculating the PSQI,HAMA,TCM Symptoms Scale and thyroid hormone level.Results: After the cure period,we can see a provement in those above score index,and they are(P < 0.05).FT3 and FT4 went down,while TSH went up,we got a improvement(P < 0.05);However,in two crowds we didn’t see a conspicuous P value(P > 0.05).Conclusion: Compared with methimazole alone,a 4-week oral combination of methimazole and Tianwang buxindan,one dose per day in three doses,the patient had a better feeling about above symptoms.
