| It has become a consensus that depression has cognitive impairment, especially memory impairment. In recent years, autobiographical memory,as a relatively new field of memory, has been one of the hotspots of research at home and abroad.Autobiographical memory refers to an individual’s recollection of personal past experiences or events.Autobiographical memory, which exists widely in life,is closely related to the individual’s mental health. In previous studies, cognitive psychology researchers mainly focused on the voluntary memory.Involuntary memory has been considered as an abnormal performance in patients with mental disorders. Therefore, research on involuntary memory has been focused on negative memory but not other memory.Up to now, mechanism theory of the involuntary memory are divergent.,Research on the abnormal involuntary memory characteristics and potential psychological mechanisms are also in its infancy. Therefore,a comprehensive understanding of the abnormal characteristics of the involuntary memory in depression and exploring the relationship between personality traits and involuntary memory may provide new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of depression. The research is divided into two parts.Research One: According to the DSM-5diagnostic criteria,35 depression patients and 33 normal controls were included.A three-step structured diary method was used to record the subjects’ involuntary and voluntary memory. The pairwise comparison was help to resolve the theoretical controversy of the two major mechanisms of involuntary memory;and find the abnormal characteristics of involuntary memory in different valences.Research two was based on research 1,including 25 patients with depression and 30 normal controls. On the basis of Study 1,the MMPI personality traits of the subjects were measured, the relationship between the abnormal involuntary memory characteristics of depression patients and the MMPI personality traits was analyzed, and the possible specific mechanisms of abnormal spontaneous memory in depression patients were explored.Research results:(1)The main effect of depression level in negative and positive valence memory is significant(p < 0.05),and the main effect of memory type is not significant(p > 0.05).The main effect of depression level and memory type in neutral valence memory were not significant.(2)The memory type has a significant main effect on negative emotional response and physical response(p < 0.05).Depression level has significant main effects on all memory response dimension(p < 0.05).Memory type and depression level had a significant interaction effect on the negative emotional response(p < 0.05),but there was no interaction on the positive emotional response and the physical response(p > 0.05).(3)The main effect of memory type is significant in specificity(p < 0.05),but no obvious difference in memory vividness, age, frequency, perspective, importance, and centrality.(p > 0.05)(4)There were many significant differences between the depression the control group in negative and neutral involuntary memory but not in positive memory(5)The T scores of Hs,D,Hy,Pd,Pa,Pt,Sc,Si of the depression group in the MMPI were higher than those of the control group(p < 0.05)(6)The physical response to the involuntary memory of depression patients is significantly positively correlated with Hs;avoidance is positively correlated with Pd,and meditation is positively correlated with Hs,Pd,Pa,Pt;Worry are positively correlated with Pa,Pt.Negative interpretations are positively correlated with Hs,D,Hy,Pd,Pa,Pt,Sc.Research conclusions:(1)Research supports that involuntary memory is under a general memory mechanism system.(2)There are many abnormal indexes in involuntary memory of negative and neutral valence in patients with depression, which can provide important reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.(3)Depression has many abnormal personality characteristics of MMPI related to many characteristics of involuntary memory, which may be the underlying psychological mechanism of their abnormal involuntary memory. |
