| Objection:To understand the normal range of operated knee skin temperature,CRP,IL-6 and ESR after TKA without complications.Method:78 patients undergoing TKA in Qingdao Municipal Hospital from January 1,2017 to January 1,2018 were selected. Both knee skin temperature were measured preoperatively and 1,3,6,9,12 days and 1,2,3,6,9,12 months postoperatively.Blood sample were collected preoperatively and 1,3,6,9,12 days and 1,2,3 months postoperatively. Results:Skin temperature of operated knee was higher than contralateral knee on 1,3,6,9,12 days and 1,2,3,6 months postoperatively(P<0.05).Skin temperature between knees reached a peak at the first day after operation, which gradually declined in the following nine months and returned to normal at 9 monthspostoperatively.IL-6 level on 1,3,6,9days postoperatively was higher than preoperatively(P<0.05),and returned to normal at 12 days postoperatively.CRP level on 1,3,6,9,12 days postoperatively was higher than preoperatively(P<0.05),and returned to normal at 1 month postoperatively.IL-6 and CRP both reached a peak at the first day after operation.ESR level on 1,3,6,9,12 days and 1month postoperatively was higher than preoperatively(P<0.05),and returned to normal at 2months postoperatively.ESR reached a peak at the six day after operation. Conclusion:Obviously, knee temperature,CRP,IL-6 and ESR have a normal fluctuation which increase after surgery and return to normal gradually after TKA without complication.Changes of skin temperature are correlated with inflammatory indexes. The degree of inflammatory response can be assessed by detecting changes in skin temperature and it can be used to monitor early infection.Furthermore,it is not necessary to worry about the increased knee temperature if there are no other evidence of infection. |
