Background: Gastric cancer ranks in the top five in terms of morbidity and mortality among all cancers.More than 70% of new cases of gastric cancer are found in developing countries, and about 45% of them are found in China. The latest data from China’s national cancer research center shows that although the overall incidence of stomach cancer is declining,it still ranks second to lung cancer. In China, due to the low popularizing rate of early screening for gastric cancer, most patients are clinically advanced gastric cancer, prone to recurrence after surgery, and the prognosis is not ideal. With the progress of gastric cancer treatment, from the previous single surgical resection into a new mode of perioperative adjuvant treatment and standardized surgery, preoperative chemotherapy has become an important part of the comprehensive treatment of advanced gastric cancer. In recent years,large-scale clinical studies have found that preoperative chemotherapy for gastric cancer not only improves the overall survival rate of resectable surgery, but also does not significantly increase perioperative complications and mortality.Aim: This study intends to explore the clinical factors of Preoperative chemotherapy in 95 patients with advanced gastric cancer, and analyze its impact on the survival rate,so as to provide new ideas and theoretical basis for the screening of Preoperative chemotherapy patients with advanced gastric cancer. Methods: Retrospectively collected in July 2003 to July 2013 in the eastern zone general hospital general surgery 95 gastric cancer patients in hospital, including survival time > 5 years cases for 50 people survival time < 45 cases of 18 months for both by pathology diagnosed with locally advanced and will be able to remove(T4a and T4b),to perform imaging evaluation again After an average of 3 cycles of chemotherapy and deciding whether to surgery.Preoperative chemotherapy course, chemotherapy effect,Borrmann type, tumor locaction,Infiltration degree and differentiation degree, number of lymph nodes and survival time were recorded. Results: The chi-square test and univariate analysis showed that the histological grade, chemotherapy efficacy number of lymph node metastasis and postoperative pathological stage were correlated with the survival rate of gastric cancer patients(P<0.05),which was statistically significant. Conclusion: Multiple clinical factors such as histological grade, chemotherapy efficacy number of lymph node metastasis and postoperative pathological stage are related to the survival rate of patients, which can be used as an important reference basis for evaluation of preoperative chemotherapy for patients with advanced gastric cancer and help to improve the survival rate of patients to the maximum extent.
