Data Mining And Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Fengshi Tongbu Decoction In Rheumatoid Arthritis Of Phlegm And Blood Stasis

1 Objective:By analyzing and summarizing the clinical medical records of patients with phlegm-stasis type rheumatoid arthritis from Director and Dr.Li,the core prescription"Fengshi Tongbu decoction"was uncovered in this study by modern computer technology.Based on the theory of syndrome differentiation and treatment in traditional Chinese medicine,the clinical research was conducted on patients who met the inclusion criteria and treated with the empirical Prescription by strictly following the clinical research design.We compared the two groups of phlegm-stasis type rheumatoid arthritis patients on changes in inflammatory indicators,immune indices,TCM syndrome scores,DAS28 scores,HAQ scores before and after treatment respectively and evaluate the efficacy and safety of Fengshi Tongbu decoction.The study of"Fengshi Tongbu decoction"on the clinical treatment of rheumatoid arthritis provides a reliable theoretical basis for clinical promotion and application.2 Method2.1 We examined data collected 100 patients who have phlegm-stasis type rheumatoid arthritis in the expert clinic of Wuhu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.We utilized the clinical medical record collection system and The data processing system digs deep into the data analysis to get the core prescription,named"Fengshi Tongbu decoction".2.2 We examined data collected 60 patients with rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed in the expert clinic and general clinic of Wuhu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital divided into two groups:30 cases in the control group and 30 cases in the treatment group.The control group was received the treatment of Western medicine.Fengshi Tongbu decoction was added in the treatment group.The treatment included two course with 14 days for each course and 28 days totally in a raw.The changes of inflammatory indexes,immune indexes,TCM syndrome score,DAS28 score,HAQ score and other indices were compared between these two groups.3 results3.1 In terms of clinical efficacy:after the treatment cycle,the TCM syndrome scores were tested in the two groups by chi-square test,X~2=5.4,P=0.02.The results indicated that there is a significant efficacy in treatment group compared to the control group.Indicating that Fengshi Tongbu decoction has a positive add-on effect on treatment compared with western medicine therapy only.3.2 In terms of clinical signs:There is a statistical significance on all indicators,total scores of TCM syndromes,VAS pain scale,DAS28,HAQ scores in same group pre-and post-treatment(P<0.05).There is a statistical significance on all indicators,total scores of TCM syndromes VAS pain scale,DAS28,HAQ scores between the two groups(P<0.05)after treatment.3.3 Laboratory indicators:After treatment,the inflammatory indicators ESR,hs-CRP,IL-1,and IL-10 were improved in the two groups(P<0.05)with statistically significance.Compared with the control group,the values of ESR,hs-CRP,IL-1,and IL-10 in the treatment group improved significantly(P<0.05),The immune indexes RF,anti-Cyclic citrullinated pepide(CCP)antibody,Ig M,Ig G,Ig A,C3,C4 of the two groups were measured after treatment with a paired sample t test,and there were different degrees of reduction(P<0.05).By Using two independent samples t test,RF,anti-Cyclic citrullinated pepide(CCP)antibody,Ig M,Ig G,C3,C4 in the treatment group decreased more with statistical differences(P<0.05).3.4 Security:There were no significant changes in blood routine,urinalysis,fecal test plus occult blood,liver function,renal function,electrocardiogram and other vital signs before and after treatment in the two groups,and no toxic side effects were seen.4 ConclusionFengshi Tongbu decoction can significantly improve the symptoms and signs,laboratory indicators,and scale scores of patients with rheumatoid arthritis syndrome.Compared with the control group treated with pure western medicine,Fengshi Tongbu decoction has a better efficacy.Fengshi Tongbu decoction can significantly improve patients’joint pain,joint swelling,morning stiffness and other uncomfortable symptoms.It’s well established that Fengshi Tongbu decoction plays an important role in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis with phlegm and blood stasis and obstruction syndrome,and it’s promising to be applied to the clinical practice in the future.
