Objective A retrospective analysis was conducted to evaluate the clinical efficacy of 5-aminolevulinic acid(5-ALA)-mediated photodynamic therapy in combination with carbon dioxide laser versus photodynamic therapy alone in the treatment of condyloma acuminatum, providing a clinical basis for the treatment of condyloma acuminatum and reducing its recurrence rate. Methods Through the statistics of patients with condyloma acuminatum who visited the Dermatology and Venereology Clinic of Hangzhou First People’s Hospital from October 2019 to September 2021,60 patients with condyloma acuminatum who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were divided into ALA-PDT therapy combined with carbon dioxide laser test group and the photodynamic therapy control group were compared to analyze the difference including clinical efficacy, clinical follow-up recurrence rate,HPV negative rate and incidence of adverse reactions of the test group and the control group in the treatment of condyloma acuminatum, the statistical results were retrospectively analyzed. Results 1.The clinical cure rates of the experimental group and the control group were 96.67%and 77.33%,respectively,P=0.03<0.05,and there was a statistically significant difference in the cure rates between the two groups.2.The recurrence rates of the experimental group and the control group were 6.90%and 31.81%,respectively,P=0.021<0.05,and there was a statistically significant difference in the recurrence rates between the two groups.3.The negative rate of HPV in the test group and the control group were 89.66%and 54.55%,respectively,P=0.012<0.05,and there was a statistical difference in the negative rate of HPV between the two groups.4.There were no serious adverse reactions in both the experimental group and the control group, and the incidence of total adverse reactions was statistically analyzed.5.Different age, sex, course of disease,HPV type and lesion location are not associated with cure.Viral load can influence the cure of CA patients. Conclusion 1.Condyloma acuminatum occurs in all age groups, but young and middle-aged people are the most common.2.The experimental group used photodynamic therapy combined with laser to treat Condyloma acuminatum, which can significantly improve the clinical cure rate, reduce the Condyloma acuminatum recurrence rate and increase the HPV negative rate, which is better than the control group.3.The level of viral load can affect the cure of Condyloma acuminatum patients.
