Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Neck And Shoulder Syndrome By Meridian Remote Extraction Method Combined With Near-end Acupuncture

PurposeAs is known to all neck and shoulder syndrome is clinically common.It is due to cervical vertebral joint disorders,which in turn causes the cervical spinal nerves to be stimulated or stuck,causing numbness,pain,fatigue and other sensations in the innervated shoulder blade muscles,or soreness and pain in the muscle membranes of the neck,shoulders,and elbows,and in severe cases,shoulder joint movement disorders may occur.Neck and shoulder syndrome could be attributed to Chinese medical bi syndrome,multi-factor body endowment deficiency,overwork injury,or accidentally caught cold,so that the wind,cold,damp evil invade and attack the body,long time stasis blocking the neck and shoulder tendons,collateral and the onset,so patients often feel muscle pain,tension.Long-term damage of healthy qi,resulting in disease,tendons and veins loss in support,and eventually weakness,numbness.Using acupuncture with remote meridian extraction method,cooperated with infrared lamp,this study observed the clinical efficacy of treating cervical and shoulder syndrome.In this study,64 patients involved,divided into treatment group and reference group based on a random number table.32 patients in treatment group,13 males and 19 females,aged range from 20 to70,diseased for 1 to 22 months.meridian remote extraction method combined with near-end acupuncture and infrared lamp was used for treatment.First,three acupuncture needles（Sanjian,Zhongzhu and Houxi）of the hand were needled together with neck and shoulder activities for 30 minutes,and then the other acupuncture points were left for 20 minutes as usual.Also 32 patients in reference group,12 males and 20 females,aged from 18 to 75,diseased for 2to 24 months.Conventional acupuncture was used for treatment,which would leave for 20 min.Both groups were treated with once a day for a total of 14 days.VAS score and NPQ score were compared pretherapy and post-treatment.The clinical efficacy of motor therapy and near-end acupuncture cooperated with infrared lamp for treating cervical and shoulder syndrome was observed through the scores changing.Results after treatment:1.Pain symptoms: VAS scores decreased,which is greatly unlike（P<0.01）,and the therapeutic effect was better than the reference group,which has big difference（P<0.05）.2.Daily life quality: THE NPQ scores dropped in both the treatment and reference groups,which is very different（P<0.01）,the treatment group was better that that of the reference group,which is（P<0.05）.3.Overall effect: efficiency between the two groups is 93.75%and 81.25%,respectively,which is greatly unlike（P<0.05）,And the clinical effect of treatment group was more excellent comparing Methods:with the reference group in terms of overall efficacy.Conclusion:1.The pain symptoms of patients with neck and shoulder syndrome can be alleviated by the method of remote meridian extraction combined with near-end acupuncture and infrared lamp.2.Combined with near-end acupuncture as well as infrared lamp,the method of remote meridian extraction can improve the pain-related syndrome and improve the living quality,who has cervical and shoulder syndrome.3.The effect of meridian remote extraction combined with near-end acupuncture on cervical and shoulder syndrome is superior to that of traditional acupuncture.
