Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of the bladder hydrodistention plus intravesical injection of botulinum toxin A(BTX-A)in patients with interstitial cystitis(IC).Methods Retrospectively analysis of the medical records of 35 female IC patients admitted to our hospital from July 2018 to April 2020.According to the different surgical methods received, they were divided into 19 cases of bladder hydrodistention combined with botulinum toxin group(combined group)and bladder hydrodistention group with 16 cases(simple group). To analyze and compare the clinical indicators of the two groups of patients before treatment and 1,3 and 6 months after treatment, such as Voiding Frequency,Maximal Bladder capacity,O’Leary-Sant Score and Pain Degree. Results Comparing the two groups of patients 6 months after treatment,Voiding Frequency:14.7±2.6 in the combined group and 24.1±3.0 in the simple group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Maximum Bladder Capacity:185.8±15.2 in the combined group and 103.1±17.0 in the simple group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).O’Leary-Sant: The combined group was 16.8±2.7,and the simple group was 25.6±2.5.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Pain Score: 3.8±1.0 in the combined group and 6.6±1.3 in the simple group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The symptom improvement of the combined group was significantly better than that of the simple group, and it lasted longer. Conclusion Bladder hydrodistention plus BTX-A is one of the effective methods for the treatment of interstitial cystitis, which can significantly relieve the clinical symptoms of patients and improve the bladder volume, and its efficacy is obviously better than that of bladder hydrodistention. This treatment method is worthy of further clinical promotion and application. |
