Objectives To explore the related factors of overt aggressive behavior in patients with depression,in order to provide more strategies for the prevention and intervention of overt aggressive behavior in patients with depression. Methods From November 2019 to March 2021,86 patients with overt aggressive behavior(total score of MOAS≥4 points)and 90 patients without overt aggressive behavior(total score of MOAS<4 points)were selected as the research objects Questionnaire, modified overt aggressive behavior scale(MOAS),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Trait Anger Scale(TAS)and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ)were used to compare the two groups of patients.Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used to explore the related factors influencing overt aggressive behavior of patients with depression. Results 1 There was no statistically significant difference in general information between the overt aggressive group and the non-aggression group(P﹥0.05).2 The total HAMD score of the overt aggressive group was significantly higher than that of the nonaggression group(t=11.41,P<0.001);the SAS score of the the overt aggressive group was significantly higher than that of the non-aggression group(t=16.92,P<0.001);the overt aggressive group had poorer sleep quality. The score was significantly higher than that of the non-aggressive group(t=8.83,P<0.001);the total score of trait anger in the overt aggressive group was significantly higher than that of the non-aggressive group(t=14.449,P<0.001).In Eysenck personality characteristics(EPQ),the score of the introvert(E)factor in the offensive group was significantly lower than that of the non-aggressive group(t=-3.899,P<0.001);the score of the neurotic(N)factor in the offensive group was significantly higher than that of the non-aggressive group(t=5.899,P<0.001);the score of psychiatric(P)factor in the offensive group was significantly higher than that in the non-aggressive group(t=4.394,P=0.001).3 Pearson correlation analysis shows that verbal attacks are positively correlated with SAS,neuroticism(N),and psychoticism(P)scores, and the correlation cofficient is between 0.243 and 0.433(P<0.05);property attacks are positively correlated with SAS,trait anger total scores, neuroticism(N),and psychoticism(P)scores, and the correlation coefficient is between 0.250 and 0.366(P<0.05);self-attack is positively correlated with HAMD and PSQI scores, with correlation coefficients of 0.421 and 0404,respectively,and negatively correlated with introversion(E),with correlation coefficient of-0.342(P<0.05);physical attack is positively correlated with the total scores of SAS,PSQI,trait anger, neuroticism(N),and psychoticism(P),and the correlation coefficient is between 0.404 and 0.655(P<0.05);The total MOAS score is positively correlated with HAMD,SAS,PSQI,trait anger, neuroticism(N),and psychoticism(P).The correlation coefficient is between 0.377 and 0.608(P<0.05),and it is negatively correlated with introversion and extroversion(E),with a correlation coefficient of-0.248(P<0.05).4 The results of multiple linear stepwise regression showed that 17.8%(P<0.05)of verbal attacks can be explained by SAS scores, and 22.5%(P<0.05)of attacks on property can be explained by SAS,introversion(E),and trait anger scores.Self-attacks can be explained by HAMD,PSQI,neuroticism(N)score shared28.2%(P<0.05),physical attack could be explained by neuroticism(N),trait anger, and SAS score jointly explained 56.9%(P<0.05),total MOAS score could be explained by introvert(E),SAS,trait anger, and PSQI score in 48.7%(P<0.05).Conclusions Depression, severe anxiety, poor sleep quality, high level of trait anger, introverted traits, neuroticism, and psychoticism are prone to explicit aggressive behavior.Anxious people are prone to verbal attacks.Anxious, introverted traits, and hightrait anger people are prone to property attacks.Depressed and poor sleep quality are prone to self-attacks.Neurotic traits, trait anger, anxiety, and introverted traits are prone to attack others.Figure 0;Table 8;Reference 84...
