Discussion On TCM Syndrome Elements Of 30 Patients With Restless Legs Syndrome

Objective1.Through literature review,summarize the methods and progress of treating Restless Legs Syndrome with Chinese and Western medicine,including the diagnostic criteria,pathogenesis,clinical manifestations and research progress of Western medicine.2.To summarize the combined basic diseases and the distribution characteristics of TCM syndrome elements,so as to provide scientific theoretical basis for the treatment of Restless Legs Syndrome in the future.Methods30 patients who met the diagnostic criteria in the outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of traditional Chinese medicine were selected as the research objects.The relevant clinical data and information were collected and sorted,including age,gender,chief complaint,underlying diseases,description of lower limb discomfort,sleep,tongue coating and pulse.Excel was used to establish the database for statistics and classification comparison,and then SPSS software was imported 21.0 for statistical analysis.Among the statistical results,if P < 0.05,it is considered to be statistically significant,and the distribution of TCM syndrome elements of Restless Legs Syndrome is summarized and analyzed.Results1.Among the 30 patients with Restless Legs Syndrome,the ratio of male to female was1.5:1,and most of them were the elderly.2.According to the basic diseases,46.67% of the patients had hypertension,40% had dyslipidemia,26.67% had diabetes,23.33% had cerebral infarction,20% had osteoporosis and 20% had lower extremity arteriosclerosis,16.67% had prostatic hyperplasia,13.33% had chronic superficial gastritis,13.33% had hyperuricemia,13.33% had hepatitis B,13.33% had thyroid disease and 10% had renal failure Combined with rheumatoid arthritis.3.From the analysis of sleep status,83.33% of the patients had poor sleep.4.The main complaints of patients were limb twitch and limb pain(26.67%),followed by numbness(23.33%)and difficulty in falling asleep(20%),and less were limb fatigue and limb soreness(13.33%).5.The tongue quality of the patients with this disease is mainly light red tongue,followed by dark red tongue and red tongue;the distribution of tongue coating is white and greasy,yellow and greasy,thin and white,and the number of patients with white,yellow and less coating is less;the pulse condition is the most string,smooth and thin,and the distribution of Shen and Xu pulse is less.53.33% of the patients had normal urination;among the patients with abnormal urination,the main manifestations were frequent urination,excessive nocturia and less urine volume,accounting for 26.67%,23.33% and 16.67% respectively.76.67% of the patients had normal stool,6.67% had loose stool and 16.67% had dry stool.7.23% of the patients were primary and 77% were secondary.8.27% patients showed unilateral discomfort and 73% patients showed bilateral discomfort.The symptoms of lower limb discomfort were numbness in 40%,pain,twitch and soreness in 30%,fatigue in 16.67% and indescribable in 13.33%.9.The syndrome elements of the disease location mainly include liver,kidney and meridians,while the heart,mind,lung and spleen are less;the combination of syndrome elements of the disease location is mainly single disease location,liver and kidney are the most,followed by meridians.The main syndrome elements of the disease are blood deficiency,yin deficiency,dampness,dynamic wind,Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency,phlegm and qi stagnation.The syndrome element combination of disease nature is mainly multi disease nature,including the most of blood deficiency.Deficiency syndrome is more than deficiency syndrome and excess syndrome is more than excess syndrome.10.The research shows that the location and distribution of syndrome elements of the disease are not related to the type of RLS,combined with basic diseases,lower limb discomfort,tongue color,tongue coating and pulse condition.Conclusion1.This study shows that the disease is positively correlated with the increase of age,and more males than females.Blood pressure,blood lipids,blood glucose,vascular conditions,hepatitis virus,metabolic diseases,autoimmune diseases and other factors are related to the occurrence of the disease.2.The chief complaints of this disease are tic,pain,numbness,difficulty in falling asleep,weakness and soreness.Secondary RLS is the most common type of RLS.Most of the patients had poor sleep.The main discomfort includes numbness,pain,twitch,soreness,fatigue,and some are difficult to describe.3.The syndrome elements of the disease location are mainly liver,kidney and meridians;the combination of syndrome elements of the disease location is mainly single disease location,liver and kidney are juxtaposed most,followed by meridians.The main syndrome elements of the disease are blood deficiency,yin deficiency,dampness,dynamic wind,Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency,phlegm and qi stagnation.The combination of syndrome elements indicates that the most common disease is multiple diseases,including blood deficiency.Deficiency syndrome is more than deficiency syndrome and excess syndrome is more than excess syndrome.4.The location and distribution of syndrome elements of the disease were not related to the type of RLS,combined with basic diseases,lower limb discomfort,tongue color,tongue coating and pulse condition.
