Purpose: Use optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)to explore whether the blood vessels in the macular area of strabismus patients will change, and analyze whether strabismus surgery will affect the blood flow in the macular area Methods: A collection of 35 patients(58 eyes)with concomitant strabismus diagnosed in Shengjing Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University from October 2019 to November 2020,and 30 random healthy controls who underwent a physical examination in our hospital during this time period(54 eyes).3*3mm macular scanning was performed on the macular area of the above-mentioned subjects with OCTA,and the blood of superficial capillary plexus(SCP)and deep capillary plexus(DCP)were calculated by software.Flow density and the area of the foveal avascular zone(FAZ).Among them, for patients undergoing strabismus surgery in our hospital, the above parameters were repeated before operation,1 day after operation,1 week after operation,1 month after operation and 3 months after operation. The healthy controls and the strabismus patients were compared with each other, and the surgical patients at different periods before and after the operation were compared with each other to compare the differences of various ocular blood flow parameters.Result:(1)The average blood flow density of SCP in the healthy control group was(48.71±2.63)%,and the average blood flow density of SCP in the strabismus group was(48.18±3.07)%.The difference between the two was not statistically significant(P=0.355)The average blood flow density of DCP in the control group was(53.31±2.68)%,and the average blood flow density of DCP in the strabismus group was(53.57±3.39)%.The difference between the two was not statistically significant(P=0.671);The average area of FAZ is(0.31±0.10)mm~2,the average area of FAZ in the strabismus group is(0.30±0.10)mm~2,the difference between the two is not statistically significant(P=0.642);(2)SCP density comparison at different time points,The difference was statistically significant(F=4.152 P=0.02);the difference in DCP density at different time points was statistically significant(F=5.767 P=0.006);the difference in FAZ area at different time points was not statistically significant(F =0.526 P=0.719);there is no significant difference in SCP between the treatment of one rectus muscle and two rectus muscles during the operation(F=0.683 P=0.42);the treatment of one rectus muscle during the operation and two rectus muscles during the operation There was no statistically significant difference in DCP between rectus muscles(F=0.356 P=0.559);there was no significant difference in FAZ between intraoperative treatment of one rectus muscle and intraoperative treatment of two rectus muscles(F=0.202 P=0.659).(3)The density of SCP and DCP in the macular area decreased sharply on the first day after surgery, and showed a trend of increasing over time to three months after surgery.Conclusion:(1)Common strabismus will not significantly affect the blood flow parameters of the macular area(SCP density,DCP density,FAZ area);(2)Strabismus surgery will affect the blood flow(SCP density,DCP density)of the macular area,Postoperative blood flow density decreased sharply, and blood flow gradually recovered with the passage of time after surgery, and showed an increasing trend than before the operation at 3 months;(3)Strabismus surgery will not have a significant impact on the area of FAZ in the macular area;(4)Strabismus surgery causes changes in blood flow in the macular area of the fundus, which is not related to the number of rectus muscles(1 or2)processed during the operation.
