Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between Fetal posteriorcerebral artery(FTP)and Acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods: A total of 406 patients with acute cerebral infarction were enrolled.According to the presence of FTP,the patients were divided into FTP group and non-FTP group, and the relationship between FTP group and acute cerebral infarction was evaluated.Diffusion weighted imagin(DWI)was used to determine the infarct area, and the relationship between FTP and cerebral infarction in different arterial areas was evaluated by grouping according to different arterial areas.According to the post-circulation registration trial of New England Medical Center, the postcirculation infaraction patients were divided into proximal infarction group, middle infarction group and distal infarction group. To analyze the correlation between FTP and acute cerebral infarction in different regions of posterior circulation.Patients with acute cerebral infarction were divided into groups according to the different degree of neurological function deficit. To analyze the correlation between FTP and the severity of acute cerebral infarction. At last,SPSS25 software was used for statistical analysis to analyze the difference between the samples in the FTP group, different infarcted areas and different infarcted severity.P<0.05 indicates that the difference is statistically significant. After the severity of infarction and the influencing factors of infarction area are obtained in the difference analysis, logistics analysis is carried out.Result:1.Among the 406 patients collected in this study,136 patients were associated with FTP,accounting for 33.5%.There were 24 patients with bilateral complete FTP,accounting for17.6%.There were 36 patients with unilateral complete FTP,accounting for 26.5%.There were 12 patients(8.8%)with bilateral partial FTP,and 64 patients(47.1%)with unilateral partial FTP.2.The presence or absence of FTP was statistically significant for the classification of infarction etiology(χ~2=6.852,P =0.009 <;0.01).According to the difference in percentage comparison, the proportion of aortic atherosclerosis in the FTP group was 77.21%,significantly higher than that in the non-FTP group(64.44%).The proportion of middle and small artery occlusion in non-FTP group was 35.56%,which was incredibly higher than that in FTP group(22.79%).3.The distribution of infarct was statistically significant for FTP(χ~2=14.178,P =0.003<;0.01).According to the percentage contrast, the proportion of bilateral FTP in the vetebrobasilar artery(VBA)group was 53.57%,obviously higher than the overoll average level of 26.47%.The percentage of unilateral FTP in Middle cerebral artery(MCA)group was 82.67%,obviously higher than the overoll average level of73.53%.Anterior cerebral artery(ACA)group with unilateral FTP of 81.82%,obviously higher than the overoll average level of 73.53%.Meanwhile,there was no statistical significance between the infarct distribution and the complete fetal type posterior cerebral artery(c FTP)and some artical fetal type posterior cerebral artery(p FTP).4.The presence of FTP was statistically significant in the group of central and distal infarcts(χ~2=3.917,P =0.048<0.05),according to the percentage comparison, the FTP proportion in the distal infarction group was obviously higher than that in the central infarction group in the posterior circulation of acute cerebral infarction patients.5.The severity of acute cerebral infarction was statistically significant for FTP(χ~2=4.753,P =0.029<0.05),the percentage difference showed that the bilateral FTP rate in the moderate and severe infarction group was 39.02%,obviously higher than that in the mild infarction group(21.05%).The percentage of unilateral FTP in mild infarction group was78.95%,which was significantly higher than that in moderate and severe infarction group(60.98%).Logistic regression analysis further showed that unilateral FTP and bilateral FTP were independent risk factors for the severity of acute cerebral infarction(ODDS ratio(OR)1.521,95% Confidence interval(CI)1.139 ~ 2.031,P<0.05;OR 5.553,95%CI2.625 ~ 11.747,p<0.001);At the same time, the severity of acute cerebral infarction had no statistical significance with c FTP and p FTP.Conclusion:1.FTP may be a risk factor for acute cerebral infarction of atherosclerotic type.2.Bilateral FTP is a risk factor for cerebral infarction in VBA area, while unilateral FTP is a risk factor for cerebral infarction in MCA and ACA area.3.Bilateral FTP and unilateral FTP are independent risk factors for the severity of acute cerebral infarction, and the presence of FTP may aggravate the severity of acute cerebral infarction.4.FTP may increase the incidence of distal infarction in acute posterior circulation cerebral infarction.
