Objective:To explore the correlation between R-QUICKI and hypertension in young people in Northeast China after obtaining R-QUICKI by incorporating fasting free fatty acids into QUICKI index formula.Methods:A total amount of 926 young people in Liao yang City were sampled in July 2016.The questionnaire was filled in to collect basic information such as name and age,and biochemical indexes were measured.Among them,86 subjects with complete data,aged 18-21,were selected.The area under curve of glucose(AUCGlu)and the difference between the area under curve of glucose and 0 min glucose(△ AUCGlu)during OGTT were calculated.The area under curve of fee fetty acids(AUCFFA)and the difference between the area under curve of fee fetty acids and fasting fee fetty acids(△ AUCFFA)were calculated in the same way.The diagnosis of hypertension was based on the diagnostic criteria of 2018 Chinese guidelines for the prevention and treatment of hypertension.In this study,R-QUICKI was obtained by incorporating 0 min free fatty acids into the formula of QUICKI according to the foreign research,all subjects were divided into three groups from high to low by the R-QUICKI value.ANOVA and the chi square test were used to compare the differences of clinical characteristics of each group.Pearson correlation analysis was used to calculate the correlation coefficient between R-QUICKI and each metabolic indexes.Logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the hypertension risk by different R-QUICKI level.ROC curve was used to evaluate the predictive effect of R-QUICKI on hypertension.Results:In young people,R-QUICKI was negatively conelated with diastolic blood pressure,triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),AUCGLU,A AUCFFA,acanthosis nigricans and homeastasis model assessment of insulin resistance index(r=-0.23-0.72,P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk of hypertension in the group with the lowest R-QUICKI value was significantly higher than that in the group with the highest R-QUICKI value(OR=8.74,95%CI(1.72,44.33)).ROC curve was used to analyze the predictive value of R-QUICKI for hypertension,and to compare that with HOMA-IR,QUICKI.The results showed that the predictive value of R-QUICKI was significantly better than HOMA-IR and QUICKI,and the area under ROC curve of 1/R-QUICKI was 0.71(95%CI:0.47,0.72,P<0.01).Conclusion:R-QUICKI is closely related to hypertension and other cardiovascular risk factors in youth in Northeast China,and the predictive value of R-QUICKI for hypertension is better than that of HOMA-IR.
