Objective To study the use of an auxiliary channel tool to obtain a small field of vision for resection of intraspinal epidural tumors, and to compare the clinical complications and the corresponding advantages and disadvantages. Methods Through the collection and screening of cases, and retrospective analysis,50 eligible patients in Department of Neurosurgery, cardio cerebrovascular disease hospital,General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from 2015 to 2019 were identified.Among them,21 patients were operated through the auxiliary channel method, and 29 patients were operated by the traditional open laminectomy method.A total of 24 patients in thoracic spine and 26 patients in lumbar spine were included in the two groups. In the open group, traditional laminectomy and operating microscope were used, and then the data, intraoperative blood loss, operation time, preoperative and postoperative JOA score,VAS score, complications and so on were collected. Results All patients were followed up for 12 months to 3 years(average 1 year). In the open surgery group, there were 3 cases of cerebrospinal fluid leakage,4 cases of intracranial infection,2 cases of postoperative exudation,4 cases of long time back pain and 4cases of spinal deformity. The operation time, blood loss, incision length, ambulation time,JOA score and VAS score of 21 patients in the channel operation group were better than those in the open operation group. Conclusion MIS can safely and effectively remove extramedullary subdural tumors in the spinal canal without increasing the risk of nerve damages...
