Objective: To analyze the risk factors of prolonged mechanical ventilation for patients with severe rib fracture, and to provide theoretical basis or reference for clinical treatment. Methods: The clinical data of 406 patients with severe rib fracture treated with mechanical ventilation from January 2014 to May 2019 were retrospectively analyzed, multivariate linear regression model was used to analyze the risk factors of prolonged mechanical ventilation. Results: The significant single factor was included in the multiple linear regression model. The results showed that ISS score,AAST score, rib fracture combined with severe craniocerebral injury, spinal cord injury, tracheotomy, pulmonary infection and sepsis were the influencing factors of prolonged mechanical ventilation time in patients with severe rib fracture. Conclusions: ISS score,AAST score, rib fracture combined with severe craniocerebral injury, spinal cord injury, tracheotomy, pulmonary infection and sepsis increase the risk of prolonged mechanical ventilation time in patients with severe rib fracture. After admission, the patients should be evaluated by ISS and AAST as soon as possible, and tracheotomy should be performed in time for patients with severe craniocerebral injury. For rib fracture patients, whether surgical treatment can affect the mechanical ventilation time still needs a lot of research. |
