| Objective: To investigate the effect of enteral nutrition on nutritional status and cardiac function in patients with moderate to severe heart failure. Methods: 133 patients with moderate to severe heart failure who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups, one was an enteral nutrition group and the other was a control group. The enteral nutrition group used enteral nutrition emulsion(TP-HE)for enteral nutrition support treatment, and the control group was given a regular diet. There is no difference in other heart failure treatment measures.7 days is a course of treatment,a total of 14 days of intervention. The total protein(TP),albumin(ALB),prealbumin(PA),hemoglobin(Hb),body mass index(BMI),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP)of enteral nutrition group and control group were collected at the begin of the trial and the end of the trial. Results: After the trial,TP and ALB were higher in the enteral nutrition group than in the control group(P <0.05),and the LVEF in the enteral nutrition group was higher than that in the control group(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in PA,Hb,BMI and BNP between the two groups(P> 0.05).After using enteral nutrition in the enteral nutrition group,TP,ALB,PA,Hb and LVEF were all higher than before the use of enteral nutrition(P<0.05),but the difference between BMI and BNP before and after the intervention were not statistically significant(P> 0.05).Conclusion:Enteral nutrition intervention can effectively improve the nutritional status of patients with moderate and severe heart failure,as well as,improve their cardiac ejection fraction. So as to accelerate the recovery of patients, reduce the readmission rate and mortality. |
