ObjectiveQuestionnaires was used to investigate the current situation of school bullying in adolescents with depression disorder.To analyze the social support status of adolescents with depression disorder with different school bullying experiences;To analyze the correlation between the severity of school bullying and suicidal ideation,self-esteem,anxiety and sleep quality;To explore the mediating effects of social support on school bullying and suicidal ideation,self-esteem,anxiety and sleep quality.MethodA total of 175 adolescents with depressive disorders in Chaoshan area were recruited by using the Self-reported Chinese Version of the School Bullying Experience Questionnar.C-SBEQ),Social Support Scale,Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation(Chinese Version,BSICV),Self-Esteem Scale(Esteem Scale,Chinese Version)SES),Beck Anxiety Inventory(BAI),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index,PSQI)to investigate the levels of school bullying,social support,suicidal ideation,self-esteem,anxiety and sleep quality in adolescents with depressive disorder.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0.The enumulation data were expressed as percentage and frequency,the measurement data of normal distribution was expressed as"mean±standard deviation",and the dose data of non-normal distribution was expressed as"median and quantile".Chi-square test was used to analyze the demographic differences of different bullying experiences.T-test and non-parametric test were used to analyze the differences in psychological test scale scores of different bullying experiences.Spearman correlation analysis and Pearson correlation analysis were used to explore the correlation between school bullying experience and suicidal ideation,self-esteem,anxiety and sleep quality.Bootstrap method was used to test the mediating effect,and P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results1.The current situation of school bullying among adolescents with depressive disorderA total of 175 questionnaires were sent out,and 162 were effectively collected,with an effective recovery of 92.57%.in Chaoshan area,the detection rate of school bullying in adolescents with depression disorder was 65.4%,which was higher in towns than in rural areas(P<0.01).The higher the father’s education level,the higher the detection rate of school bullying was(P<0.05).2.Status of social support for adolescent with depression disorderThe degree of subjective support and support utilization of non-only-child was higher than that of only-child(P<0.01).The patients with good academic level had higher perceived subjective support(P<0.05);The level of perceived objective support and subjective support was higher in the patients with lower father education level(P<0.05);The level of social support and its three dimensions in the non-bullying group were higher than those in the bullying group(P<0.001).3.The correlation between school bullying and suicidal ideation,self-esteem,anxiety,and sleep disorders in adolescents with depressive disorderThe suicidal ideation and anxiety in the bullying group were higher than those in the non-bullying group(P<0.001),and the level of self-esteem in the bullying group was lower(P<0.001),and the sleep quality was worse(P<0.01).Correlation analysis showed that the severity of bullying was significantly positively correlated with Suicide Ideation Questionnaire,Anxiety Scale and Sleep Quality Index(r_s=0.281,0.274,0.271,P<0.001,respectively),and negatively correlated with Self-esteem Scale(r_s=-0.280,P<0.001).4.The Mediating Effect of Social Support on School Bullying and Suicidal Ideation,Self-esteem,Anxiety and Sleep Quality in Adolescent with Depression DisorderSocial support had mediating effect on school bullying and suicidal ideation,self-esteem and sleep quality(effect value was 0.072,-0.154,0.079,respectively),and the indirect effect to the direct effect ratio was 40.9%,59.4%,33.8%,respectively.The mediating effect results showed that social support had no mediating effect on school bullying and anxiety.Conclusions1.In the Chaoshan region,the incidence of school bullying in adolescents with depression disorder was 65.4%.The detection rate of school bullying in adolescents with depression disorder was higher in towns than in rural areas.The higher the father’s education level,the higher the detection rate of school bullying experience.2.Non-only-child’s perceived subjective support and support utilization are higher than that of only-child;Patients with good academic performance had higher perceived subjective support;The level of perceived objective support and subjective support was higher in the patients with less educated fathers.The perceived level of social support in the bullying group was lower than that in the non-bullying group.3.The more serious the bullying was,the stronger the suicidal ideation,the lower the level of self-esteem,the higher the level of anxiety,and the worse the quality of sleep.4.When the severity of school bullying affected the intensity of suicidal ideation,the level of self-esteem and the quality of sleep,social support had a mediating effect,but when the severity of school bullying affected the level of anxiety,social support had no mediating effect.
