Expression And Clinical Significance Of Interleukin-10,Transforming Growth Factor β-1 And Inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase In The Process Of Vocal Fold Leukoplakia Canceration | | Posted on:2022-08-11 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y J You | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2504306554478724 | Subject:Otorhinolaryngology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective To assess the expression of interleukin-10(IL-10),transforming growth factor β-1(TGF-β1)and inducible nitric oxide synthase(i NOS)in different pathological grades of vocal fold leukoplakia,and to explore their roles in the process of vocal fold leukoplakia canceration,in order to provide a new direction for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of vocal cord leukoplakia.Methods Ten cases of vocal fold leukoplakia with simple hyperplasia of squamous epithelium,ten of mild epithelial dysplasia,ten of moderate to severe epithelial dysplasia,ten of vocal fold leukoplakia canceration and ten of vocal polyp were enrolled in the study.Immunohistochemical analysis and quantitative image analysis was used to detect the expressionlevel of interleukin-10,transforming growth factor β-1 and inducible nitric oxide synthase of the selected pathological samples.SPSS 23.0 software was used for statistical analysis.LSD-t test in one-way ANOVA was used to test the significance of mean comparison among the groups.Results With the increase of dysplasia degree of the epithelial cells of vocal fold,the interleukin-10 was increasingly expressed.There was statistical significance among the vocal fold leukoplakia with simple hyperplasia of squamous epithelium,mild epithelial dysplasia,moderate to severe epithelial dysplasia and vocal fold leukoplakia canceration(P<0.05).The comparison between the vocal fold leukoplakia with simple hyperplasia of squamous epithelium and vocal polyp was no significant difference(P > 0.05).The expression level of both transforming growth factor β-1 and inducible nitric oxide synthase was statistical significance among the above groups(P<0.05),except the comparison between the vocal fold leukoplakia with simple hyperplasia of squamous epithelium and vocal polyp(P>0.05).The positive expression rate of both transforming growth factor β-1 and inducible nitric oxide synthase showed an increasing trend from vocal fold leukoplakia with simple hyperplasia of squamous epithelium,mild epithelial dysplasia to moderate and severe epithelial dysplasia,but reduction when vocal fold leukoplakia with moderate to severe dysplasia worsened to laryngeal carcinoma.The expressions of TGF-β 1 and i NOS were positively correlated(r = 0.385,P < 0.001)from simple hyperplasia of squamous epithelium,mild epithelial dysplasia to moderate and severe epithelial dysplasia to laryngeal carcinoma.There were significant differences in the expression of IL-10,TGF-β 1 and i NOS between the lesions and the surrounding normal tissues(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the expression of IL-10,TGF-β 1and i NOS between normal tissues and vocal fold polyps(P > 0.05).Conclusion TGF-β 1 and i NOS may be the early events in the process of vocal fold leukoplakia carcinogenesis.IL-10 may be one of the molecular markers of vocal fold Leukoplakia Carcinogenesis.The abnormal expression of IL-10,TGF-β 1 and i NOS is closely related to the carcinogenesis of vocal fold leukoplakia.Among them,IL-10 is expected to become one of the molecular markers in the process of malignant transformation of vocal fold leukoplakia,which has a certain potential in the classification,diagnosis and treatment of vocal fold leukoplakia.With the deepening of malignant degree of vocal leukoplakia,the expression of TGF-β 1 and i NOS increased first and then decreased.It is speculated that TGF-β 1 and iNOS may be the early events in the carcinogenesis of vocal leukoplakia.TGF-β 1 and i NOS may have a positive regulatory role of interdependence in the malignant transformation of vocal fold leukoplakia. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | vocal fold leukoplakia, canceration, interleukin-10, transforming growth factor β-1, inducible nitric oxide synthase | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
