The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of routine acupuncture combined with cupping at cervical three acupoints(Wangu,Dazhui, shoulder well)on early intervention of idiopathic facial paralysis with retroauricular pain. The House-Brackmann facial nerve function grade,Sunnybrook facial nerve score, visual analog VAS score and the difference of shortening the disappearance time of retroauricular pain and the correlation between the disappearance time of retroauricular pain and the corresponding clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups before and after treatment,so as to provide a more optimized treatment for patients with acute idiopathic facial paralysis with retroauricular pain.Patients with idiopathic facial paralysis in acute stage(within 3 days after onset)with retroauricular pain were selected from the outpatient department of acupuncture and moxibustion department of Qinhuang Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine.60 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into observation group(n = 30)and control group(n = 30).The control group was treated with routine acupuncture once a day,7 times as a course of treatment, and 7 times of rest for two days to continue the next course of treatment.A total of 4 courses of treatment were observed. On the basis of routine acupuncture, the observation group was treated with collateral puncture and cupping at the two cervical acupoints(Wan Gu,Da Zhui,Jian Jing). The routine acupuncture course was the same as that in the control group, two times a week as a course of treatment.after the pain disappeared,it was changed to once a week until the end of 4 courses of treatment.Observation indicators: 1.House-Brackmann facial nerve function grade and Sunnybrook facial nerve score were performed in the two groups before and after treatment.2.Before treatment, after the first treatment and after 1 course of treatment, patients of the two groups were in progress to evaluate the pain after ear by visual analogue scale(VAS);3.The time of disappearance of retroauricular pain in two groups was recorded.,and the data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 22.0 software.1 After treatment,House-Brackmann facial nerve function grading and Sunnybrook facial nerve score between two groups were significantly better than those before treatment(P<0.05),and compared with the control group, the recovery of facial nerve function of the observation group was better(P<0.05).2 Comparison of VAS scores at different time points : Compared with before treatment, after the first treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups decreased distinctly(P<0.01),and compared with the control group, the decline of VAS score in the observation group was significantly greater(P<0.01).Compared with after the first treatment, after 1 course of treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups decreased significantly(P<0.01),and compared with the control group, the decline of VAS score in the observation group was significantly greater(P<0.01).3 The time of disappearance of retroauricular pain in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group(P < 0.01).The time of disappearance of retroauricular pain in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group(P < 0.01).The time of disappearance of retroauricular pain in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group(P < 0.01).4 There was a positive correlation between the disappearance time of retroauricular pain and the corresponding clinical curative effect in the control group, the observation group and the two groups(P < 0.01).5 Clinical efficacy: after treatment, the overall curative effect of the two groups was significantly different(P< 0.05).In the observation group, the total effective rate was 96.7%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 80%.Compared with the control group, the total effective rate of the recovery of facial nerve function in the observation group was higher(P<0.05).1 The curative effect of acupuncture plus cupping at three points of neck on the recovery of facial nerve function in the acute phase of idiopathic facial paralysis was higher than that of conventional acupuncture.2 Acupuncture plus cupping at three points of neck can significantly and rapidly relieve the pain behind ear.3 The time of disappearance of retroauricular pain in patients with facial paralysis was positively correlated with the corresponding clinical efficacy. The earlier the retroauricular pain subsided, the faster the recovery of facial nerve function and the shorter the course of disease, the better the curative effect. |
