Objective:By proving clinical trials and data analysis on the treatment of children with nephrotic syndrome in the glucocorticoid withdrawal stage(qi-yin deficiency syndrome)with modified decoction of qing xin lian zi,we analyzed the possibility of curative effect and safety. Methods:There are 40 diagonsed cases having the inclusion criteria and enrolled as the experimental subjects. The cases who met the the inclusion criteria were divided into two groups by their will to accept the way of treatment, and each group have 20 cases. The experimental group accept management with glucocorticoid combined with modified decoction of Qingxinlianzi, while the control group accept management with glucocorticoid combined with Granules of Huaiqihuang. The children in each group takes eight weeks to treat. We recording and analyzing the incidences of TCM syndrome, the side effects of glucocorticoids, the relapse rate of NS after eight weeks, and the amount of height gain and infection during eight months in two groups,we can summary the efficacy of clinical practice.Result:1.Three cases in the control group and two case in the experimental group unfinishing experiment, because children have poor compliance. After treatment during the follow-up period of three months, one case dropped out due to change the contact information in the experimental group. So there were both 17 cases in two group.2.Comparison of integral of TCM syndrome:in Intra group, the integral of TCM syndrome in the two groups were both decrease than those before treatment;when compared the integral of two groups, the date of experimental groups were lower than that of the control group, there were statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, the integral of the main symptoms and secondary symptoms in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),there were statistically significant differences. When compared the overall response rate of TCM syndromes:In the experimental group, the overall response rate was88.2%;while the overall response rate of the control group was70.6%,and the efficacy of the experimental group was superior to that of the control group(P<0.05).The statistically significant difference of the data indicated that the symptoms of qi-yin deficiency syndrome in children during the PNS with glucocorticoids withdrawal stage were improved.3.The rate of relaps:After following up children of two group during 6 months, the rate of relaps was 11.8%in the experimental group, while the rate of relaps rate was 47.1%in the control group.the rate of relaps rate in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The difference was statistically significant among the two data.4.Within eight months, the height of children in the control group increased by 3.547±0.733cm,and that of children in the experimental group increased by5.171±0.942cm,showing a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).5.Side effects of glucocorticoids:There were 11 cases of Cushing’s syndrome in the control group, accounting for 64.7%;there was 8 case of Cushing’s syndrome in the experimental group, accounting for 47.1%;there were 8 cases of infection in the control group, accounting for 47.1%;there were 2 cases of infection in the experimental group, accounting for 11.8%;the incidence of side effects in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significantConclusion:1.Modified decoction of Qing xin Lian zi is better than Huaiqihuang granule in relieving the clinical symptoms of Qi and yin deficiency in children with nephrotic syndrome during glucocorticoid withdrawal period;2.Modified decoction of Qing xin Lian zi is superior to Huai Qihuang Granule in reducing infection rate, growth inhibition in children with nephrotic syndrome;3.Modified decoction of Qingxin lianzi group is better than Huaiqihuang granule in reducing recurrence rate.
