Objective Through the study of the factors such as bone age,bone density,height and weight of children and adolescents in Chongqing area.To provide an important reference for the age inference of children and adolescents in Chongqing area,and provides a theoretical basis for the growth and development evaluation of children and adolescents in Chongqing area.Methods By analyzing the bone age,bone density,height and weight of 3776 children and adolescents in Chongqing area,the relevant data were obtained.SAS 9.4 software was used for statistical analysis.Measurement data were statistically described as mean ± standard deviation,and normality test was required for all data.The independent sample t test was used for the difference of continuous variables in independent samples,and the paired t test was used for the difference of continuous variables in related samples.Logistic stepwise regression model,restricted cubic spline stratification and correlative statistical methods were used to analyze the distribution of bone age in children and adolescents in Chongqing area and the influence of correlative factors on bone age development.Results In this study,the children and adolescents showed advanced bone age development at all ages,but there was a statistical difference in bone age between men and women only in four ages(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that gender,bone mineral density,age of life were independent influencing factors for the bone age development.Across subgroups stratified by sex,age,and BMI,the probability of premature bone age development had a small increase and then decrease in the lower BMD bands and an increasing trend in the higher BMD bands,most pronounced in the physically lean and normal groups.The trend of early bone age development was comparable across age groups.As BMI increased,the probability of premature bone age development gradually approached the 0.8 to 1.0 range.Conclusions Premature bone age development of children and adolescents maybe a common phenomenon among in Chongqing area,which may be related to gender,obesity and bone mineral density ratio of the same age.
