Correlation Analysis Of Lipiodol Deposition And Prognosis Of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients After TACE

Objective: To analyze the effect of lipiodin deposition type on Overall Survival(OS)of Hepatocellular Carcinoma(HCC)patients after Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization(TACE).Methods:In this study,182 patients with advanced HCC who received TACE treatment in the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from June 2016 to June 2020 were analyzed.A total of 47 cases met the requirements.The cases were divided into three groups according to the type of lipiodol deposition.Group A(dense type: ratio >75%)16 cases,group B(patch type:30%< ratio <75%)16 cases,and group C(scattered type: ratio <30%)15cases.OS was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method,and differences were compared between groups by log-rank test.Results: The Median survival of group A was 26.0 months.The Median survival of group B was 12.0months..The median survival of group C was 8.0 months.The OS of group A was longer then group B and group C(P<0.05).The OS of group B was longer then group C(P<0.05).Conclusion: The type of lipiodol deposition in tumor after TACE was related to the OS of patients.The OS of patients with dense type lipiodol deposition was significantly longer than that of patients with patch and scattered type lipiodol deposition,while the OS of patients with patch type lipiodol deposition was longer than that of patients with scattered type lipiodol deposition,indicating that good lipiodol deposition after TACE can prolong the OS of patients.
