Objective: To compare and analyze the diagnosis and treatment of very low/extremely-low birth weight infants(VLBWI/ELBWI)in the Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University in the past 10 years.Methods: The clinical data of VLBWI/ELBWI in Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were collected retrospectively.In chronological order,those born between January 2010 and December 2011 are recorded as group C1,those born between January 2014 and December2015 are regarded as group C2,and those born between January 2018 and December 2019 are regarded as group C3.The general information,complications,clinical intervention,survival and cause of death of the three groups were compared and analyzed.Results: A total of 821 clinical data were included in the study,including 166 cases in the C1 group,247 cases in the C2 group,and 408 cases in the C3 group.In the past 10 years,the incidence of clinical sepsis and blood culture-positive sepsis,caffeine usage,CPAP usage,and invasive regular frequency ventilator usage have all been increasing year by year in our hospital.In the first 5 years,the incidence of multiple births,the incidence of pulmonary hemorrhage,the incidence of pulmonary hypertension,the use of postnatal PS,the use of invasive high-frequency ventilator have increased,the Apgar 1-minute score and the PS use of the delivery room have decreased.In the past 5 years,newborns with gestational age <34 weeks admitted to our hospital has decreased,and newborns with gestational age <28 weeks has increased.The incidence of cesarean section and the length of hospital stay has increased,the incidence of NRDS has decreased,the incidence of BPD,The prenatal hormone use rate and the cure rate for improvement have increased.Conclusions: The level of diagnosis and treatment of VLBWI/ELBWI in Southwest China has improved and the cure rate has increased in the past10 years,however the use rate of PS in the delivery room is still low,and the incidence of infectious diseases is high,and the length of hospital stay has been prolonged. |
