Clinical Observation Of Compound Rongqi Tongluo Granule On Hypothyroidism With Carotid Atherosclerosis Of Spleen Kidney Yang Deficiency And Blood Stasis Type

1.Objective: To carried out a clinical observation,which choose the patient with hypothyroidism and carotid atherosclerosis(CAS)as the research objects and they all had the performance of spleen kidney yang deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.Use self made prescription: Compound Rongqi Tongluo granule which is composed of traditional Chinese medicine and can warm the kidney,invigorate the spleen,activate blood circulation and dredge collaterals.As the observation goes on,the improvement of TCM symptoms and clinical efficacy of these patients will be taken as the evaluation criteria.Meanwhile,thyroid function,blood lipid,homocysteine(HCY),C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),carotid artery intima-media(IMT),carotid artery plaque area will also be observed.What is more the possible mechanism of the granule will also be explore then report evidence-based medical basis for the treatment of A-minus and CAS diseases by multiple ways.2.Methods: the enrolled 70 subjects are divided into the control group and study group stochasticly.The control group was treated with levothyroxine sodium tablets+ atorvastatin calcium while the compared one added the granules.Additional 12 weeks as the treatment cycle.Finally,take the changes of the two groups to compared.3.Results:3.1 TCM syndrome: There were big significant improvements in the Application of compound granules(P < 0.05),not only the total points,but also individual points all included.In contrast,the others only some symptoms improved excep forgetfulness and nail error(p=1.00).3.2 Thyroid function: all subjiecs have great good changes in this term.Specifically,TSH decreased and the other two increased.(P < 0.05),the compound group was more sticking out.3.3 Blood lipid: there are positive tranceformation taken place in all indexs,both the two groups: as the LDL-C,TG,TC declined shaply,while the HDL-C go up clearly(P < 0.05),especially in the compound group(P < 0.05).3.4 HCY,hs-CRP: The detection value has a high positive change(P < 0.05),The two index values were lower than before,especially in the compound group(P <0.05).3.5 IMT,plaque area: After statistical analysis of the data,IMT and area of the two groups were slightly lower than before,especially the compound one,both it’s between groups or within groups(P<0.05).3.6 Analysis of security:Analysis of safety results: during the treatment period,there were no adverse reactions requiring drug withdrawal or other special treatment.After 12 weeks of treatment,the safety indexes of some patients were improved.4.Conclusion: Compound Rongqi Tongluo granules can be safely used in clinical practice.The compound Rongqi Tongluo granule,which has the effect of warming kidney,strengthening spleen,activating blood circulation and dredging collaterals,is safe and has no obvious toxic and side effects,It can effectively regulate blood lipid and optimize the function of hypothyroidism by combining with statins.It can be used safely in the treatment of patients with hypothyroidism combined with CAS.The clinical effect is worth affirming,and it needs to be pointed out in particular for the patients with hypothyroidism combined with CAS,the clinical curative effect is exact,especially in the improvement of TCM syndromes.
