Objective: To investigate the effect of acupuncture on peripheral facial palsy(PFL).Observation base + acupuncture with drug treatment side "reflect" the clinical curative effect of treatment group on the surrounding sex facial nerve paralysis, evaluation of acupuncture of "dot" on the surrounding effect for the treatment of facial nerve paralysis, provide a cure for the disease clinical optimization scheme, strengthen the function of patients with facial muscles, improve facial symmetry, raise clinical curative effect and treatment satisfaction. Methods: The patients were randomly divided into control group and study group. There were 20 patients in each group and 40 patients in total. The control group was treated with prednisone and Mecobalamin dispersible tablets. In addition to the above-mentioned drug treatment, the research group also gave acupuncture "reflective point" treatment. The patients’ facial muscle function(portmann scale),House-Brackman facial nerve function, clinical efficacy and other indicators were followed up and recorded for 1 course,2 courses and 3 courses before and after treatment, respectively.Descriptive statistical methods were used to analyze the age, gender and other data of patients.Normally distributed data are represented by the mean ± standard deviation, and non-normally distributed data are represented by the median and interquartile range. The classification data is expressed as a percentage. For continuous variables,Student’s t test or Mann-Whitney U test was used for comparison between groups. The chi-square test was used to compare categorical variables between groups.A two-sided P value of <0.05 was considered significant.SPSS 20.0 software(SPSS,Chicago,IL,USA)and SAS statistical software package version 9.4(SAS Institute,Cary,NC)were used for statistical analysis.Results:1.After comparative analysis of age, course of disease, diseased side distribution,Portman score of facial muscle function before treatment, and neurological function score and grading before treatment,P > 0.05 was comparable between the two groups.2.Facial muscle function portman score comparison: The portman scores and total scores of the study group were better than those of the control group at each time point after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant,P<0.05.In comparison between the groups, the study group was treated for 10 days,20 days,and30 days after treatment. The differences were statistically significant, indicating that the portman score of the study group was improved after 10 days of treatment, that is,after 1 course of treatment.Compared with the pre-treatment at each time point after treatment in the control group, there was no significant difference between the control group and the pre-treatment after 10 days of treatment. After 2 courses of treatment and 3 courses of treatment, the portman score was higher than before treatment, indicating that the treatment in the control group only had an effect on the improvement of facial nerve function after 2 courses of treatment, and the effect was longer.3.Comparison of facial nerve function score and grading: The neurological function score of the study group after 1 course of treatment was(54.03±5.53)points,and the neurological function score after 2 courses of treatment was(75.67±5.45)points.The neurological function score was(91.33±5.09)after 3 courses of treatment. The neurological function score of the control group was(47.73±6.34)points after 1course of treatment,and(67.89±6.59)points after 2 courses of treatment. The neurological function score after 3 courses was(83.41±8.19)points.There were statistically significant differences in the above indicators between the two groups(P< 0.05).The score comparison results of the control group and the research group at each time showed that there were statistically significant differences after 1,2 and 3courses of treatment in the research group compared with those before treatment, indicating that the efficacy of the research group was faster and a good effect could be achieved after 1 course of treatment.Compared with before treatment, there was no significant difference between the control group and the control group after 1 course of treatment at each time point after treatment. The neurological function score after 2courses of treatment and 3 courses of treatment was better than that before treatment, indicating that the treatment in the control group had a certain promoting effect on the recovery of facial neurological function after 2 courses of treatment. The difference of scores between the study group and the control group after 1,2 and 3 courses of treatment was statistically significant(P < 0.05),indicating that the treatment effect of facial nerve function in the study group was more significant than that in the control group. The results of intra-group ANOVA showed that the difference after 3 courses of treatment was higher than that after 1 or 2 courses of treatment in both the study and the control group. After treatment, the distribution of facial nerve function in the study group was better than that in the control group(P < 0.05).4.Efficacy evaluation: After 3 courses of treatment,a total of 18 of the 20 people in the study group received effective treatment, and the total effective rate of treatment was 90%.Among the 20 people in the control group,a total of 11 people received effective treatment, and the total effective rate of treatment was 55%,indicating that the therapeutic effect of acupuncture on the affected side "reflective point" is better than conventional drug treatment. Conclusion: Acupuncture at the affected side "reflective point" has a good clinical effect on peripheral facial nerve palsy, and it will increase with the course of treatment. In addition, acupuncture at the affected side "reflective point" for the treatment of peripheral facial nerve palsy can significantly improve the portman score, facial nerve function classification and score of the patient’s facial muscle function, and the therapeutic effect is better than conventional drug treatment.
