Clinical Observation Of Oral Probiotics In The Adjuvant Treatment Of Recurrent Upper Respiratory Tract Infections In Children Aged 3-5 Years

Objective:To analyze the clinical efficacy and the effect on immune function of oral Clostridium butyricum live powder in adjuvant treatment of repeated upper respiratory tract infections in children aged 3-5 years.Methods:Random from our hospital between December 2019 and December 2020,admitted during the period of 3 to 5 years old children in children with recurrent upper respiratory tract infections,selecting 100 cases,treatment in the control group(50 cases with Anti-infection and symptomatic treatment)and the observation group(50 cases received conventional therapy in combination with oral Clostridium butyricum live powder treatment),compare the treatment effect,such as immune function of both groups after 4weeks of treatment,the symptoms and pharyngeal signs disappeared of upper respiratory tract infection within 1 year average time and frequency.Results:Before treatment,there was no difference in serum immunoglobulin levels between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).After treatment,IgA and IgG in the group were higher than those in the control group(P< 0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference in IgM(P>0.05).The average duration of fever,cough,nasal obstruction,runny nose and pharyngeal hyperemia in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the frequency of upper respiratory tract infection was also significantly lower in the observation group than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Clinical oral treatment of Clostridium butyricum live powder in adjuvant treatment of 3-5 years old children with recurrent upper respiratory tract infections can improve the immune function of the human body,shorten the duration of symptoms,and reduce the number of attacks of upper respiratory tract infections,and there are no obvious adverse reactions during the study period,with high safety.
