Objective:With the gradual advancement of the integration policy of sports and medicine and the gradual development of practical work,society has put forward higher requirements for sports rehabilitation talents in terms of quantity and quality.Colleges and universities should make changes in the training of sports rehabilitation talents in accordance with the needs of society to meet the needs of talents for the integration of sports and medicine.Based on the competency theory,this study constructs a competency model for sports rehabilitation undergraduates under the background of the integration of sports and medicine,and applies the constructed model to conduct empirical research to understand the current state of competence of sports rehabilitation undergraduates,and to provide ideas for the training of sports rehabilitation talents in colleges and universities.Health institutions and related companies provide reference for the selection,assessment and evaluation of such talents,provide direction for sports rehabilitation students,and promote their own professional growth.Methods:(1)Constructing a competency model: Through literature review,behavioral event interview method and expert consultation method,to understand the competencies necessary for sports rehabilitation talents at home and abroad,and initially draw up a database of competency characteristics for sports rehabilitation undergraduates.Using a questionnaire survey method,with 450 full-sports rehabilitation related personnel as the research objects,using exploratory factor analysis,correlation analysis,and confirmatory factor analysis to construct a competency model and test the scientific nature of the model.(2)Empirical research: Using the established competency model of sports rehabilitation undergraduates as a measurement tool,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 360 students majoring in sports rehabilitation at Shanxi Medical University to analyze the current status of competency of sports rehabilitation undergraduates.Categorical variables are represented by composition ratio(%),and continuous variables are represented by mean±standard deviation.Results:(1)The competency model of sports rehabilitation undergraduates constructed in this study includes personality and qualities(patience,good psychological quality,professional identity,health concepts,self-discipline,good interpersonal relationships and effective communication,independent thinking,sportsmanship,sense of responsibility,Innovation spirit,lifelong learning,professional ethics),comprehensive quality development ability(entrepreneurship awareness,physical fitness,policy learning,computer application ability,social service,clinical cooperation ability,scientific research ability,basic sports skills,laws and regulations,foreign language ability),Professional knowledge and skills(sports rehabilitation diagnosis and treatment ability,traditional sports rehabilitation theory and skills,modern rehabilitation knowledge and skills,sports injury protection technology,basic medical knowledge,operation demonstration and explanation ability,first aid,emergency response theory and ability,basic knowledge of physical education)3 core dimensions and 30 sub-dimensions.The overall model is Cronbach’s α=0.955,and the coefficients of each dimension are: dimension 1 Cronbach’s α is 0.924,dimension 2Cronbach’s α is 0.932,and dimension 3 Cronbach’s α is 0.941.(2)According to the survey results of the competency status of undergraduates in sports rehabilitation,the overall self-assessment score of the undergraduates in sports rehabilitation is 3.59±0.16.According to the scale(1-5 points),they are in the middle,with personality and personality in the three core dimensions.The quality self-assessment score3.77±0.06 is higher than the average self-assessment total score,the comprehensive quality and development ability self-assessment score 3.57±0.13 times,and the professional knowledge and skill dimension self-assessment score 3.45±0.32 is lower than the self-assessment total score average.Conclusions:(1)This study constructed a competency model of sports rehabilitation undergraduates with 3 core dimensions and 30 sub-dimensions,which has good reliability and validity and can objectively reflect the competency requirements of sports rehabilitation undergraduates.Facing the problem of the shortage of sports rehabilitation talents,it is necessary to make good use of the powerful tool of sports rehabilitation undergraduates’ competency model to provide them with ideas.Use the model as the most basic talent quality standard,scientifically formulate talent training paths,The three factors of the model train sports rehabilitation talents,among which professional knowledge and skills are fundamental,comprehensive quality and development ability are the key,and personality and characteristics are the guarantee.(2)The competencies of students majoring in sports rehabilitation of Shanxi Medical University are at the middle level,with high scores for personality and quality,and low comprehensive quality and development capabilities,as well as professional knowledge and skills.Therefore,to improve the overall competence of its professional students,it should focus on strengthening the learning of professional knowledge and skills of sports rehabilitation under the advantages of their individuality and quality,digging into their comprehensive qualities,and training professional development capabilities.
