| Objective To explore the effects of gender and age differences in the risk factors for lymph node metastasis in patients and analysis prognosis of patients of early gastric cancer(EGC).Methods A total of 1107 patients with EGC who underwent surgical treatment at the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from 2011 to 2018 were included in this study and grouped according to gender and age.The risk factors of lymph node metastasis in different groups were analyzed.Follow-up of the postoperative recurrence and metastasis of the patients and analysis of their prognosis were finally conducted.Result Multivariate analysis of male patients showed that depth of tumor invasion, ulcerative tumors, tumor size and lymphovascular invasion is an independent risk factor for lymph node metastasis.Multivariate analysis of female patients showed that depth of tumor invasion, lymphovascular invasion and tumor histology is an independent risk factor for lymph node metastasis.Multivariate analysis of patients aged ≤60 years showed that depth of tumor invasion and ulcerative tumors are independent risk factors for lymph node metastasis.Multivariate analysis of patients aged >60 years showed that depth of tumor invasion, tumor size, and lymphovascular invasion are independent risk factors for lymph node metastasis.Prognostic survival analysis of patients with early gastric cancer showed that age, lymph node metastasis, lymphovascular invasion and type of resection all affected the prognosis of early gastric cancer. Conclusion Different genders and ages of patients with early gastric cancer(EGC)have different risk factors for lymph node metastasis. The previous guidelines for the treatment of early gastric cancer did not mention the differences in age and sex of patients. In the analysis of the prognosis of patients with early gastric cancer(EGC),we also found a variety of prognostic factors affecting patients with early gastric cancer(EGC).We hope that this study can provide a reference for surgeons in the treatment of patients with early gastric cancer, and also provide a reference for further postoperative treatment and review of patients with early gastric cancer(EGC). |
