Objective This study done in 17 cases of root development of permanent teeth with autograft, intraoperative as far as possible avoid related risk factors, observe the postoperative 1-5 years of clinical curative effect, can obtain high success rate and survival rate.At the same time,to further explore whether the age, gender, the position of the donor teeth and the inflammation of the recipient area have any influence on the success rate of tooth autotransplantation, and to explore and discuss the details of tooth autotransplantation,in order to provide reference for the clinical promotion of tooth autotransplantation. Methods Seventeen patients who received tooth autotransplantation in the Department of Dentistry and Endodontics of the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Anhui Medical University from 2015 to 2020 and were followed up for more than 12 months were included.Clinical and radiographic examinations were performed during the post-operative follow up periods of 1month,3 months,6 months,1 year, and 1 year after the interval.Survival analysis was then conducted and the predictive factors influencing prognosis from the aspects of sex, age, the jaw position of the donor tooth and apical inflammation in the recipient site were investigated.Kaplan-Meier survival curve was adopted for survival analysis and Log-Rank test was used to compare the survival rate and success rate of each single factor. Results In this study,a total of 17 cases of autologous permanent teeth with fully developed roots were immediately transplanted, and a total of 17 teeth were transplanted, among which 16 third molars were selected. There was 1 maxillary premolar with 25 palatine ectopic teeth. There were 7 males and 10 females, aged 20-56 years, with an average age of(33.9±13.1)years,and an average observation time of(29.0 ± 14.3)months.During the follow-up period,1 tooth was lost due to uncontrollable periodontal inflammation after transplantation, and the remaining teeth were retained in the oral cavity, with a total survival rate of 94.12%.There were 3 teeth that were not considered as successful cases due to lesions in the last follow-up,of which 1 had deep periodontal pocket,1 had extracorporeal absorption in the neck, and 1had extracorporeal absorption in the root. The cumulative success rate of 5 years was69.9%.Factors of sex, age, the jaw position of the donor tooth and apical inflammation in the recipient site of the patients showed no correlation with the prognosis of autotransplantation(P>0.05).Conculsion1.Autologous permanent teeth transplantation with fully developed root and replacing non-reserved affected teeth has a better clinical effect.2.Reasonable preoperative evaluation and intraoperative avoidance of risk factors can improve the success rate of tooth autotransplantation.
