Objective:To evaluate the impact of the audiovisual preparation accompanied by parent on emergence agitation of school-age children with ophthalmic surgery.Methods:Eighty-six children under general anesthesia, aged 6-12 years old,ASA physical statusⅡ,were divided into two groups(n=43 ecah)by using a random number table method. The children in the AV group(audience intervention group)and their parents were given an audiovisual rehearsal intervention the day before the operation, and the children in the C group(control group)and their parents were given a regular visit the day before the operation. The parents of the children in the group were present during induction. The anxiety levels were tested with the modified Yale perioperative anxiety scale(Mypas-)in preoperative visit(T1)and anesthesia induction(T2).The anxiety levels of the parent in preoperative visit(T1)and induction anesthesia(T2)were recorded. The operation time, recovery time and the emergence agitation scores were recorded respectively. Results:The anxiety scores in preoperative visit and the incidence of emergence agitation in the AV group were significantly lower than those in the C group(P<0.01).Parental anxiety scores were moderately correlated with children’s anxiety scores and agitation scores(r=0.475,P<0.01 and r=0.562,P<0.01).Conclusion:The audio-visual preparation accompanied by parents can reduce children’s preoperative anxiety and parental anxiety, reduce the incidence of emergence agitation in school-age children to reduce adverse reactions during perioperative period. |
