Objectives:This study explores the application of Teach-back teaching method in the training of medical nurses,forms a scientific training program for medical nurses with local characteristics,in order to enhance the professional ability of medical nurses,improve the quality of nursing service,and make a beneficial exploration and attempt for the standardized training of medical nurses in our province.Methods:The medical nurse training program was established through a large number of literature review,preliminary research basis and the latest medical nurse training program issued by National Health Commission in 2019.The literature analysis method was used to reference the contents of clinical Teach-back health education,construct the Teach-back teaching question sheet,and determine the implementation period of Teach-back teaching.The convenience sampling method was used to select the medical nursing staff who mainly served the elderly patients in the researcher’s practice hospital from 2020 to 2021.The caregivers were randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group.Baselline survey was conducted by general data questionnaire,theoretical achievement,skill assessment,Chinese Palore Aging Knowledge Scale(FAQ1),Kogan Attitude Scale for the Elderly(KAOPS)and Simple Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ)before training.The control group was trained by the medical nurse training program,in which teachers gave lectures-students discussed in groups-answered questions-teachers summarized;On the basis of the control group,the intervention group received four-layer Teach-back teaching of "teaching,feeding,clarifying and improving".Questionnaire survey was conducted again after the training.The effect was evaluated by comparing the training objects before and after and between groups.Results:1.Baseline survey results: A total of 50 questionnaires were issued in this study,and 50 were collected with a recovery rate of 100%.There were 25 cases in the intervention group and 25 cases in the control group.There was no significant difference in general data between the two groups(P>0.05).2.KAOPS:Before training,the total score of nurses’ attitude in the two groups was(100.38±14.35)points in the intervention group,(102.84±16.95)points in the control group,respectively.There was no statistical significance in the score difference between the two groups(P<0.005).3.Elderly care knowledge: Before training,the scores of nursing assistants in the two groups were(19.48±2.347)points in the intervention group and(19.28±1.904)points in the control group,respectively.There was no statistical significance in the scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After the training,the scores of nursing assistants in the two groups were(23.88±1.965)points in the intervention group and(21.20±1.756)points in the control group,respectively.The difference in scores between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the comparison of nursing assistants in the two groups within the total group was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.FAQ : Before training,the FAQ1 score of the intervention group was(10.16±1.106),and that of the control group was(9.68±1.435),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).After the training,the FAQ1 score of the intervention group was(14.96±1.241),and that of the control group was(12.76±1.363),and the difference in scores between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The intra-group comparison of FAQ1 before and after the training was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Skilled assessment: Before training,the scores of nursing assistants in the two groups were(77.36±4.009)in the intervention group and(77.48±5.292)in the control group.There was no statistical significance in the scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After the training,the scores of nursing assistants’ skill assessment in the two groups were(86.56±3.163)in the intervention group and(82.08±5.283)in the control group,and the scores of the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The intra-group comparison of the skills assessment of nursing assistants before and after the training in the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.The nursing assistants aged care quality is low,relative positive attitude to the elderly.2.Teach-back training for nursing assistants is helpful to improve the geriatric nursing literacy of nurses.3.Teach-back training for nursing assistant sis helpful to improve the nurse’s operational skills.
