| Background: Gallbladder cancer presented a poor postoperative outcomes.Several inflammatory factors were concerned significantly related with prognosis in various types of cancer. Our study was aimed to determine the prognostic value of preoperative lymphocyte to C-reactive protein ratio(LCR)to predict postoperative outcomes in patients with resectable gallbladder cancer(GBC).Methods: A retrospective analysis of the 104 GBC patients who received surgery in our department from 2000 to 2016 was performed.Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazard models were used to define factors associated with overall survival, and univariate and multivariate non-conditional logistic regression analyses were used to define factors associated with postoperative complications. Results: Preoperative LCR showed the highest accuracy in predicting the OS of GBC patients compared with other variables.Decreased preoperative LCR significantly associated with advanced T stage, presence of lymph node metastasis and advanced tumor stage.Lower levels of preoperative LCR(using an optimal cut-off threshold of 145.5)was an independent prognostic factor for both overall survival and postoperative surgical-site infections in patients with resectable GBC.Conclusions: Preoperative LCR is a novel and valuable prognostic indicator for predicting overall survival and postoperative surgical-site infections in patients with resectable GBC... |
