Study On The Distribution Characteristics Of TCM Constitution Types In Patients With Hypertension And Insomnia

Objective:To explore the pathogenesis of hypertension associated with insomnia and its relationship with TCM constitution,so as to explore the distribution characteristics of TCM constitution types in patients with hypertension associated with insomnia.Methods:A total of 300 patients with hypertension and insomnia in Department of Cardiovascular Medicine,Affiliated Hospital of Gansu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2018 to December 2020 were selected for the study.The general information,24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring,Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale,insomnia severity scale and TCM constitution identification information were collected.SPSS Statistics 24.0 was used for data entry and statistical analysis.The distribution characteristics of TCM constitution types in patients with hypertension and insomnia were analyzed and discussed.Results:1.The distribution of TCM constitution in patients with hypertension and insomnia was analyzed and statistically.There were 79 cases(26.3%)of mild quality,27 cases(9.0%)of qi-stagnation quality,21 cases(7.0%)of blood stasis quality,15 cases(5.0%)of dampness-heat quality,32 cases(10.7%)of phlegm-dampness quality,64 cases(21.3%)of qi-deficiency quality,36 cases(12.0%)of yin-deficiency quality,21 cases(7.0%)of yin-deficiency quality and 5 cases(1.7%)of special quality.2.In the patients with hypertension and insomnia,gender has no relation to the distribution of TCM constitution(P>0.05)3.The distribution of TCM constitution was different in different age stages(P<0.05).4.Blood pressure and heart rate are related to the constitution of TCM.Systolic blood pressure was correlated with blood stasis(P<0.05),while diastolic blood pressure was correlated with Yang deficiency(P<0.05).24 h blood pressure variability was correlated with humidity and heat mass(P<0.05),and heart rate was correlated with blood stasis mass(P<0.05).5.Sleep related indexes were related to TCM constitution,among which Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and Insomnia Sickness Scale index were closely related to phlegm,dampness and Qi deficiency(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Among the TCM constitution types of patients with hypertension and insomnia,phlegm and dampness,qi-deficiency,yang-deficiency and peaceful constitution accounted for more.2.The distribution of TCM constitution is related to age factors.With the increase of age,the constitution shows a changing trend from solid constitution to deficiency,and from calm quality to biased constitution.Gentle quality,phlegm damp quality and damp heat quality were more in young and middle-aged patients;The blood stasis,Qi deficiencyand Yang deficiency were mainly distributed in the elderly.The constitution distribution of TCM was not affected by gender factors.3.In patients with hypertension and insomnia,systolic blood pressure is related to blood stasis,while diastolic blood pressure is related to Yang deficiency.Blood pressure variability is related to humidity and heat,while heart rate is closely related to blood stasis.4.Sleep quality is related to Qi-deficiency quality and phlegm-dampness quality in TCM constitution,and the worse the sleep quality is,the higher the correlation between it and TCM constitution.
