Objective:To explore the therapeutic effects of electro-acupuncture(EA)on preventing p-ostoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV)in elderly patients with senile intertrochanter-ic fractures. Methods:We selected patients with senile intertrochanteric fractures surgery in orthopedi-c wards of Fuzhou No.2 Hospital from February of 2020 to February of 2021 as res-earch subjects. After sample estimation, sixty patients were included in the study and ra-ndomly divide into a test group(electro-acupuncture treatment plus co-treatment group)and a control group(co-treatment group),thirty cases in each group.Patients in both groups were under general anesthesia(inhalation plus intravenous anesthesia plus nerve bl-ock anesthesia and used patient controlled intravenous analgesia after operation). The c-ontrol group received co-treatment,did not apply EA.In the experimental group,on the basis of the scheme as the control group, the EA was used at Neiguan(PC6),Hegu(LI4),Zusanli(ST36)and Sanyinjiao(SP6)one day before operation. The incidence and severity of PONV and the number of additional cases of metoclopramide were record within forty-eight hours after the operation.Results:1.The rate of PONV after operation within 48 hours is 46.6% in the experimental gro-up and 73.3% in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups within forty-eight hours after surgery.(P<0.05)2.The number of additional cases of metoclopramide in the experimental group was le-ss than the control group within forty-eight hours after surgery. There was significant difference between the two groups within forty-eight hours after surgery.(P<0.05)Conclusion:Preoperative electro-acupuncture intervention can effectively prevent the occurrence of postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV)in elderly patients with senile intertrochanteric fractures. It also can reduce the number of additional cases of metoclopramide. |
