Objective:The purpose of this study is to observe the clinical efficacy of the treatment of prolapse of Lumbar Disc Herniation by acupuncture at the Middle Line of Vertex, bilateral Houxi points and bilateral Shugu points combined with massage. And the effect of this treatment on the Visual Analogue Scales(VAS),the Japanese Orthopaedic Association Back Pain Evaluation Questionnaire(JOABPEQ)and Tumor Necrosis Factor-α(TNF-α)in patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation was observed. Methods:From January 2020 to December 2020,a total of 64 patients who met the subject criteria of diagnosis, inclusion and exclusion were selected from the outpatient massage department of our hospital.According to the principle of simple randomization, the 64 patients were divided into treatment group and control group,32 cases in each group. The control group was treated with massage, while the treatment group was treated with massage and acupuncture the five distal acupoint, namely,Middle Line of Vertex, bilateral Houxi points and bilateral Shugu points. The treatment time of the two groups was 30 minutes, once every other day,10 times as a course of treatment. The score of the VAS and JOABPEQ,also the concentration of TNF-α in peripheral blood were recorded before and after treatment.SPSS25.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data obtained in this study.Result:1.A total of 64 patients were included in this study, and 59 patients completed the clinical trial,of which 2 cases were excluded from the treatment group and 3 cases from the control group. The total shedding rate was 7.81%.2.Before the treatment, there were no significant differences in gender, age,VAS scores,JOABPEQ scores and the concentration of TNF-α between the two groups(P>0.05).3.Comparison of VAS scores between the two groups after treatment: The VAS scores after the first treatment, the tenth treatment and before treatment were compared within groups, with statistical significance(P<0.05);the VAS scores after the first and the tenth treatment were compared within groups, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS scores before treatment were compared with those after the first and tenth treatment among groups, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the VAS scores after the first treatment were compared with those after the tenth treatment among groups, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Comparison of JOABPEQ scores between the two groups after treatment: The JOABPEQ scores of each group before treatment and after treatment were compared within the group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference of JOABPEQ score between groups after treatment and before treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Comparison of the concentration of TNF-α between the two groups after treatment: The concentration of TNF-α in each group were compared before treatment and after treatment, and there was statistical significance(P<0.05).The difference of TNF-α concentration between groups after treatment and before treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.According to the evaluation of clinical efficacy standard, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.00%,and that of the control group was 86.21%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Both simple massage therapy and distal acupuncture combined with massage therapy have good clinical efficacy in the treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation, while distal acupuncture combined with massage therapy has better clinical efficacy than simple massage therapy.2.Both simple massage therapy and distal acupuncture retention combined with massage therapy can improve the VAS score,JOABPEQ score, and reduce the concentration of TNF-αin peripheral blood of patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation.Distal acupuncture retention combined with massage therapy has a more significant effect on the above observation indexes.3.The cumulative analgesic effect of simple massage therapy and distal acupuncture combined with massage therapy was better than that of immediate analgesic effect, and the analgesic effect of distal acupuncture combined with massage therapy was better.
