Objective:The effect of electronic moxibustion on the activity of pharyngeal lateral wall in patients with dysphagia after stroke was observed by muscle bone ultrasound,and the effect on swallowing function was evaluated by related scale.Methods:70 patients were randomly divided into electronic moxibustion group(n=34)and control group(n=33).Both groups were treated with basic medical routine treatment,routine acupuncture and rehabilitation training.The electronic moxibustion group was treated with electronic moxibustion at Lianquan acupoint,Tiantu acupoint,Tianding acupoint(double)and Futu acupoint(double)for 30 minutes,5 times a week for 4 weeks.The control group was treated with Vital Stim swallowing therapy in addition to the basic treatment,each time for 30 minutes,5 times a week for 4 weeks.Ultrasonic examination of muscle and bone was performed before the first treatment and 4 weeks after treatment.Wada drinking water test and Standardized Swallowing Assessment(SSA)were performed before the first treatment and 2 and 4 weeks after treatment.Result:(1)the results of pharyngeal wall activity value: after treatment,the pharyngeal wall activity value of the two groups was higher than that of the former(electronic moxibustion group P<0.01,control group P<0.01),and the increase of pharyngeal wall activity value of electronic moxibustion group was better than that of control group(P<0.01).(2)the(SSA)score of standard swallowing function evaluation: P<0.01 at time point,P<0.01 at time point *,and P<0.05 for group A.After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment,the SSA scores of patients in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the scores in the electronic moxibustion group were higher than those in the control group after 2 and 4weeks of treatment(P<0.01).(3)the results of Watian drinking water test: after 2 weeks of treatment,the grade of Watian drinking water test in the electronic moxibustion group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and that in the electronic moxibustion group was lower than that in the control group 4 weeks after treatment(P<0.01).The evaluation of the two groups was correlated with the change of time(P<0.01).The treatment of the two groups became effective after 2 weeks of treatment,and the curative effect of the electronic moxibustion group was more significant than that of the control group.Conclusion:Electronic moxibustion at pharyngeal acupoints can effectively increase the activity of pharyngeal lateral wall in patients with dysphagia after stroke,reduce SSA score and Watian drinking water test grade,and effectively improve the swallowing function of patients.
