| The speech intelligibility in patients with dysarthria after stroke is decreased due to the brain injury that impairs the nervous system associated with speech production,which may be impaired in respiration,phonation,resonance,articulation,and prosody,among which speech intelligibility is mainly affected by articulation and prosody.The purpose of this study was to explore a kind of therapy technique,which is used for improving speech intelligibility in dysarthria after stroke.This study formulated treatment strategies through experiments and conduct clinical verification through experiment,aiming to improve the speech intelligibility of dysarthria after stroke quickly and efficiently.The first experiment was about the influence of the rhythm change of Accent Method on speech intelligibility.Through the accent stimulation under the rhythm of Largo,Andante,and Allegro,we found the best rhythm tempo that was suitable for the improvement of speech intelligibility of dysarthria after stroke.The results showed that the articulatory and prosodic functions were obviously improved in dysarthria after the stimulus of Andante rhythm.The improvement in Andante was better than any other rhythm tempo,indicating that the stimulus under the tempo of Andante for dysarthria after stroke could improve the most in speech intelligibility.The second experiment was about the effect of different speech samples on speech intelligibility,exploring the most suitable speech samples for improving speech intelligibility of dysarthria with post-stroke.Patients were stimulated by Andante tempo with phonemic contrastive speech samples and non-phonemic contrastive speech samples,respectively.Results showed that the articulation and prosody improved better in the stimulus of phonemic contrastive speech samples.It was suggested that the speech intelligibility of treatment should be used phonemic contrastive speech samples for dysarthria after stroke.Based on the above results,we proposed a Pair Contrast Real-time Accent Method(PCRAM)for dysarthria with poststroke,which was verified by an experiment.The results showed that the speech intelligibility of dysarthria was significantly improved under Pair Contrast Real-time Accent Method.The innovation of this study is that a Pair Contrast Real-time Accent Method was proposed for dysarthria with post-stroke.The key points of the strategy are(1)Andante is used as the best rhythm;(2)Selecting the appropriate pair of contrast consonants as speech samples for training according to the speech performance of the patient;(3)Emphasizing the real-time speech feedback in the training process.Pair Contrast Real-time Accent Method focuses on the factors that influence the speech intelligibility,especially in terms of articulatory and prosodic function,helping the dysarthria improve or restore communication quickly and efficiently. |
