Clinical Study Of Xiaoyao Sishen Decoction On Treating Liver Stagnation Spleen And Kidney Yang Deficiency Syndrome Of Diarrhea-predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of Xiaoyao Sishen Decoction in treating diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome with liver Stagnation spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome,and to provide evidence support for soothing liver,invigorating spleen and warming kidney in clinical irritable bowel syndrome.Methods: From January 2020 to January 2021,60 patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome with liver Stagnation spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 30 patients in each group.The control group was given montmorillonite powder three times a day,once 3g(3g*10 bags/box)and bifidobacterium triple viable capsule twice a day,once 0.63g(0.21g*36capsules/box).The treatment group was given Xiaoyao Sishen Decoction,and the course of treatment in both groups was 14 days.The basic information,scores and indexes before and after treatment were recorded,and the data were analyzed by SPSS 26.0.Results: 1.The severity,anxiety and quality of life of IBS patients in both groups were improved compared with those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the curative effect of the treatment group was obviously better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group in six symptoms,namely abdominal pain,diarrhea,impatience and irritability,aversion to cold,fullness in two hypochondriacs and lack of appetite,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in relieving the symptoms of drowsiness and fatigue of waist and knees(P>0.05).3.The differences in the total scores of major symptoms,minor symptoms and syndromes were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the scores in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).4.The two schemes are effective in improving defecation characteristics and defecation frequency(P < 0.05),and the effect of the treatment group is obviously better than that of the control group(P<0.05).5.Comparing the safety indexes(WBC,RBC,etc.)between the two groups before and after medication,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:Xiaoyao Sishen Decoction has better curative effect on diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome with liver Stagnation spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome than the simple application of western medicine montmorillonite powder combined with bifidobacterium triple viable capsule,and has more prominent effect on improving patients’ anxiety state,stool characteristics,defecation frequency,abdominal pain,diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms.
