ObjectiveA case-randomized controlled study was conducted to investigate the clinical efficacy of Lumbar Spine Cataplasms in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation with qi stagnation and blood stasis.Methods129 patients diagnosed with lumbar disc herniation of the qi-stagnation and blood stasis type, who met the inclusion criteria and were willing to undergo conservative treatment, were hospitalized in the Department of Orthopedics Ⅱ of Shenzhen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 27,2020 to December 31,2020,and were assigned to the control and experimental groups using the randomized numerical method. The efficacy of Lumbar Spine Cataplasms in clinical practice was investigated by comparing it with HuoXueZhiTongGao,and the indexes collected included VAS score,JOA score, lumbar joint mobility and TCM syndrome score. The relevant indexes were statistically processed to statistically compare the differences before and after treatment and between the two groups, and then to deeply investigate the clinical efficacy of Lumbar Spine Cataplasms in lumbar disc herniation with qi stagnation and blood stasis, and to provide a basis for subsequent laboratory studies.ResultsThe study finally included 129 patients, including 64 patients in the treatment group,28 males and 36 females, and 65 patients in the control group,26 males and 39 females.(1)There was no significant difference between the two groups in the comparison of baseline data before treatment. The differences in gender, age and disease duration were not statistically significant(P>0.05)and were comparable.(2)Compared with the pre-treatment group, the VAS scores were significantly lower in the treated and control groups at different time points after treatment(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the treatment group was significantly lower at different time points(P<0.05),which was statistically significant.(3)Compared with the pre-treatment group, the JOA scores were significantly lower in the treated and control groups at different time points after treatment(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the treatment group was significantly lower at different time points(P<0.05),which was statistically significant.(4)Compared with the control group, the individual(erythema, pruritus)scores and total skin irritation reaction scores of each individual item in the treatment group were significantly smaller than those of the control group(P<0.05),which was statistically significant.(5)In terms of efficacy assessment, there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05).ConclusionThe efficacy of Lumbar Spine Cataplasms in treating lumbar disc herniation of qi stagnation and blood stasis type is exact, which can effectively relieve patients’ lumbar pain and improve lumbar activities, and is hypoallergenic, with little skin irritation, safe and effective. It has the significance of clinical promotion. |
