The Correlation Analysis Of TCM Constitution Of Patients With Chest Stuffiness And Pains And Coronary Artery Stenosis

Objective: The aim of the study was to analyze the relationship between the constitution of TCM of patients with chest stuffiness and pains and coronary artery stenosis.Suppling new methods for the prevention and treatment of chest stuffiness and pains,improving the patients’ living quality and prognosis.Methods: The clinical data(name,sex,age,hypertension,diabetes,dyslipidemia,the history of tobacco,family history of CAD,BMI,coronary artery stenosis,NT-pro BNP,etc.)and the constitution of TCM of200 patients with chest stuffiness and pains were collected,inputted these information into Excel and established the database.The date of the study was analyzed by IBM SPSS statistics 22.0.Descriptive statistics was done to the data,using (?)±s to describe the measurement data.If the date was satisfied with normal distribution and homogeneity,comparison between two groups was using t test;multi groups were compared by analysis of variance.otherwise,the date was analyzed by non-parametric test.The study used frequency(constituent ratio)to describe enumeration data.Then analyzed the date by Chi-square test and rank sum test.Logistic regression analysis was used to performe multivariate analysis.P﹤0.05 indicated statistical significance,P﹤0.01 meant significant statistically significant.Results: 1.The distribution of the constitution of TCM type of 200 patients with chest stuffiness and pains was: Phlegmy wet mass(23.5%)﹥Blood stasis mass(20.0%)﹥Yang deficiency mass(16.5%)﹥ Qi deficiency mass(13.5%)﹥Qi depression mass(10.5%)﹥Yin deficiency mass(6.5%)﹥Hot and humid constitution(5.5%)﹥Peaceful constitution(3.5%)﹥ special innateness constitution(0.5%).2.The age of the 200 patients with chest stuffiness and pains ranged from 40 to 81 years old,with an average age of 63.13±8.761 years old,and the concentrated age ranged from 60 to 70 years old.3.The constitution of TCM of patients with chest stuffiness and pains was correlated with the coronary artery stenosis(P=0.012)4.NTpro BNP,hypertension,diabetes,the history of tobacco were positively correlated with the incidence of chest stuffiness and pains(P﹤0.05).Smoking history was related to the occurrence of Phlegmy wet mass.Coronary artery stenosis,smoking history,NT-pro BNP were related to the occurrence of Yang deficiency.NT-pro BNP was related to the occurrence of Qi deficiency mass.Conclusions: 1.The constitution of TCM of patients with chest stuffiness and pains was mainly in Phlegm dampness constitution,Blood stasis constitution,Yang deficiency constitution and Qi deficiency constitution.2.The constitution of TCM of patients with chest stuffiness and pains was correlated with the coronary artery stenosis.3.The incidence of chest stuffiness and pains was mostly in elder,so the monitoring and management of cardiovascular health of the elderly should be strengthened.4.As hypertension,diabetes,the history of tobacco,NT-pro BNP were the risk factors of chest stuffiness and pains.Smoking history was related to the occurrence of Phlegmy wet mass.Coronary artery stenosis,the history of tobacco,NT-pro BNP were related to the occurrence of Yang deficiency.NT-pro BNP was related to the occurrence of Qi deficiency mass.Attention should be paid to the regulation of risk factors to reduce the incidence of Coronary Artery Disease and improve the symptoms and prognosis of patients.
