the classification methods of formulas have mainly formed the classification of disease pattern, the classification of etiology, the classification of viscera, the classification of clinical departments, the classification of treatment methods, the classification based on main formulas, the classification based on main herbs, the classification of dosage forms, and the general classification method, and so on.These methods of classification of formulas are classified from the diseases treated by the formulas, the structure of the formulas, and the functions of the formulas. The classification of disease pattern, the classification of etiology, the classification of viscera, the classification of clinical departments classify formulas from the perspective of the diseases treated by formula, among them, the classification of viscera is for the location of the disease, and the classification of etiology is for the cause of the disease, both supplement the deficiency of the classification of disease pattern, and make the classification more detailed, they are an extension of the classification of disease pattern;the classification based on main formulas and the classification based on main herbs classify formulas from the formula structures;the classification of treatment methods classifies formulas from their functions.2.A total of 21 San’ao decoction’s medicine formulas had appeared in Qin and Han Dynasty, the maturity and perfection of its theory are closely related to the continuous development of TCM theory. The method of classification of Chinese medicine formulas all facilitate the understanding of theory, method, formula, and medicine system. The enrichment of the method of classification of Chinese medicine formulas has promoted the development of the theory and application of formula.2.The results of similarity coefficients shows that,in 21 San’ao decoction’s analogous formulas clearly recorded in ancient Chinese medicine books,19 formulas and San’ao decoction have a comprehensive similarity of ≥50%,therefore,to determine whether a formula belongs to the San’ao decoction’s analogous formulas class in terms of drug composition and dosage from objective mathematical indicators, its comprehensive similarity should not be less than 50%.Taking a small sample of the similarity study between San’ao decoction and San’ao decoction’s analogous formulas as an example,a mathematical model is established from the aspects of drug composition, core drug proportion, and overall dosage of the whole prescription, and it is feasible that the objective similarity coefficient obtained by calculation is used to compare the similarity between two formulas.3.The similarity algorithm results show that among the 365 formulas containing "Ephedra"and "Almond",there are 56 formulas with higher similarity to San’ao decoction;they are respectively Mahuang decoction in Ru Men Shi Qin,Mahuang San in PuJi Fang,Sanhe decoction in Pu Ji Fang,Huagai San in Fang, etc. These formulas are the mined potential formulas for San’ao decoction.4.Through the Jaccard similarity coefficient of terms of herb composition, core herb proportion, cosine similarity of the overall dosage of the whole formula, and comprehensive similarity to compare two formulas is feasible. Objective indicators derived from this mathematical model can avoid human subjective factors and discover potential analogous formulas. It is of reference value for the research of analogous formulas. |
