Objective:We aim to explore the correlation between nutrient intake and physical activity intensity and Charlson comorbidity index(CCI).The influencing factors obtained from the study will provide valuable information for public health and clinical treatment, which will lay the foundation for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.Besides, our findings may be significant for preventing diseases and improving health, furthermore, reducing people’s financial burden on healthcare. Methods:The data of this study comes from the National Health and Nutrition Survey(NHANES)from 2013 to 2016.Univariate and multivariate ZINB models were used to analyze the association of nutrients intake and physical activity with CCI.Results:1.After statistical analysis, the proportion of 0 in CCI score is 67%.2.A total of 8715 subjects were included in this study eventually, including 4288 males and 4427 females.Among these participants,5935(68.1%)are Non-Hispanic whites. In the respect of drinking, over half participants(77.4%)drink;On average, the intake of carbohydrate is 0.23(0.17,0.30)kg,niacin intake is 26.78(18.68,38.48)mg and calcium intake is 0.92(0.64,1.30)mg.3.In count part(CCI≥0),after adjusting for age, sex, race, educational level, income level, smoking, drinking and cycle, the results of multiple factors ZINB regression showed that protein intake was not related to CCI,OR(95%CI)was0.264(0.040,1.726).The increase of carbohydrate intake is related to the decrease of CCI.Holding other variables constant, the expected change in CCI for a one-unit increase in carbohydrate is 0.559,and its OR(95% CI)is 0.559(0.330,0.947),in niacin is 1.602,and its OR(95% CI)is 1.602(1.200,2.139),in vitamin D is 2.886,and its OR(95% CI)is 2.886(1.520,5.478).Besides,the longer sedentary time is,the greater CCI is,and its OR(95% CI)is 1.026(1.012,1.041).There was no correlation between CCI and intake of other nutrients and physical activity intensity.4.In Logit part(CCI=0),after adjusting for age, sex, race, educational level, income level, smoking, drinking and cycle, the results of multiple factors ZINB regression showed that the intake of protein, carbohydrate and fat had no statistical correlation with CCI,and their OR(95%CI)were 9.291(0.341,252.952),2.120(0.784,5.731)and 1.013(0.051.20.289),respectively.Vitamin B2 intake is related to CCI,and its OR(95%CI)is 1.007(1.002,1.011).For every vitamin e intake,CCI increase by 1.014,and its OR(95%CI)is 1.014(1.002,1.026).The risk of CCI>0 in low phosphorus intake was higher than that in high phosphorus intake, and its OR(95%CI)is 1.280(1.054,1.555).In addition, magnesium intake was related to CCI,and its OR(95%CI)is 2.107(1.173,3.783),and the risk of CCI>0 in low potassium intake was higher than that in high potassium intake, and its OR(95%CI)is 1.126(1.026,1.236).Besides,the risk of CCI>0 would increase by 0.565 for every additional vigorous recreational activity, and the OR(95%CI)was 0.565(0.427,0.748).There was no correlation between CCI and intake of other nutrients and physical activity intensity.Conclusion:1.There is a negative correlation between carbohydrate intake and CCI,but there is no correlation between protein and fat intake and CCI.2.Vitamin B2 and vitamin E are the protective factors of the body, while nicotinic acid intake is positively correlated with CCI.There is no correlation between CCI and intake of other vitamins.3.Increasing intake of phosphorus, potassium and magnesium may have positive effects on health. There is no correlation between CCI and other mineral intake.4.Intense recreational activities may have positive effects on health, while sedentary time is positively correlated with CCI.No association between other physical activities and CCI was found.
