Meta-analysis Of The Efficacy Of Amniotic Membrane Transplantation In The Treatment Of Ocular Chemical Burns

Objective:To explore the effect of amniotic membrane transplantation on the eyes of patients with acute ocular chemical burns.Methods:Using computer to search databases such as Pubmed database,Cochrane Library Controlled Test Center database,Embase database,and China Journal Full-text Database,Wanfang Database,Weipu Database.All the collected randomized controlled trials were screened and data extracted.Revman5.4 software and STATA15 software were used for Meta analysis,and the result was obtained.Results:Finally,4 randomized controlled trials that met the inclusion criteria were selected,of which 3 subjects were in India and 1 subject was in Iran.In terms of treatment efficiency,the pain score of the AMT group is lower than that of the control group with MD=-0.238(Z=0.75,95%CI=-0.858-0.382 P=0.452).In terms of best corrected visual acuity,the final visual acuity of the AMT group was significantly lower than that of the control group with MD=-0.020(Z=0.14,95%CI=-0.307-0.267,P=0.891).In terms of the incidence of eyeball adhesions,the incidence of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group with OR=0.919(Z=0.33,95%CI=0.556-1.517,P=0.740).In terms of the incidence of corneal neovascularization,the incidence of the AMT group was significantly higher than that of the control group with OR=0.983,(Z=0.08,95%CI=0.648-1.492,P=0.937).Conclusion:1.The combined amniotic membrane transplantation and drug treatment of ocular chemical burn pain score is lower than that of drug treatment alone.2.Combination of amniotic membrane transplantation and drug treatment of membranous adhesions and corneal neovascularization in moderate to severe ocular chemical burns is significantly lower than that of medical treatment alone.There is no significant difference between the two for severe ocular chemical burns.
