Clinical Analysis Of Open Ocular Trauma Of Bai Nationality In Dali Area

OBJECTIVE.To study the types of open ocular trauma and the influencing factors of visual acuity in Bai nationality area of Dali from 2017 to 2019Methods.A retrospective analysis was conducted on 188 patients(188 eyes)hospitalized in the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University from 2017 to 2019 in the Bai ethnic area of Dali.According to the medical record system,statistics were made on their gender,age,ethnicity,type of eye injury,treatment time,cause of injury,environment of injury,season of injury,complication,type of trauma and visual acuity.Analyze the type of ocular trauma,injury site,vision influencing factors and so on.OTS scores were performed 1 week,1 month,3 months and 6 months after surgery.Results.There were 66 patients with eye trauma in 2017,59 in 2018,and 63 in 2019.The male to female ratio was 6:1.136 patients were under 50 years old(72%)and 52 patients were over 50 years old(28%).The patient’s left and right eyes were 1.2:1,and the left eye was injured more frequently,mainly from April to June and from October to December.Most of the injured were farmers,followed by workers and students.Injuries often occur in construction sites and fields.Among the injured patients,128(68%)were from ethnic minorities,60(32%)were from Han,42.6(42.6%)were from Bai and 57.4(57.4%)were from other ethnic groups.Twenty patients(11%)were from Jianchuan and 168(89%)from other areas.There were 88 cases(46.8%)of puncture injury.The prognostic factors of vision were: crystal injury(P=0.009)anterior chamber hematoceles(P < 0.001),retinal detachment(P=0.012),anterior chamber hematoceles(P=0.008),admission time(P=0.012),admission vision(P=0.000).The main injury-causing substances were metal sharp instruments,followed by blunt instruments and plants.Conclusions.1.In the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University,puncture injuries were the most common type of inpatients with eye trauma,and metal sharp instruments were the main cause of injury.2.Anterior chamber hematocele,crystal injury,retinal detachment,anterior chamber hematocele,admission vision and admission time were the main factors affecting prognostic vision.3.OTS score can be used for ophthalmologists to predict the prognosis of visual acuity in patients with ocular trauma.
