Comparative Analysis Of N-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate Combined With Polyvinyl Alcohol Particles And Simple Polyvinyl Alcohol Particles In The Treatment Of Massive Hemoptysis

Purpose:To compare and analyze the clinical value of n-butyl cyanoacrylate(NBCA)combined with polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)particles and simple PVA particles in the treatment of massive hemoptysis(BAE).Material and methods:The clinical data of 62 patients with hemoptysis treated by BAE in our hospital from September 2016 to October 2018 were retrospectively analyzed,including 40 male patients and 22 female patients,aged 21-86 years old,with an average of 57.11 years old.62 patients with Massive Pulmonary Hemoptysis underwent chest CT scan and bronchial pulmonary artery CTA before operation to exclude the contraindications.According to different embolic materials,62 patients were divided into observation group and control group.The observation group used NBCA glue combined with PVA particles to embolize arteries,a total of 28 patients.The control group used PVA particles only to embolize arteries,a total of 34 patients.The distribution of responsible vessels for hemoptysis,vessel diameter and technical success rate,short-term,mid-term and long-term hemoptysis control and complications were compared and analyzed between the two groups.Results:There was no statistically significant difference in the distribution and diameter of responsible blood vessels between the two groups of patients with hemoptysis(P>0.05);Two groups of patients were successfully completed the operation,abnormal responsibility vessels embolization success,the success rate was 100%;evaluation of two groups of patients with BAE postoperative hemoptysis control rate,the observation group short-term,medium-term,long-term control rate were100%,96.43%,96.43%,the control group short-term,medium-term,long-term control rate were 97.06%,94.18%,88.24%;two groups compared: short-term,medium-term P > 0.05,The difference was not statistically significant,long-term P < 0.05,the difference was statistically significant;the incidence of complications was p > 0.05,the difference was not statistically significant.Conclusion:There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups.Compared with PVA particles,NBCA glue combined with PVA particles has the same technical success rate in the treatment of pulmonary massive hemoptysis,and can reduce the recurrence of hemoptysis and further improve the long-term survival rate of patients without hemoptysis.
