Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Physical Therapy Combined With Medicine On Two Types Of Meibomian Gland Dysfunction

Purpose: By comparing the changes of relevant indicators before and after treatment in patients with two different types of meibomian gland dysfunction,the sensitivity and difference of different types of MGD patients to drug combined with physical therapy were analyzed to explore a simple,practical and effective,affordable treatment measure in clinical treatment.Methods: According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,60 patients(120 eyes)who visited the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from October 2019 to December 2020 and were diagnosed with meibomian gland dysfunction were selected and perfected the relevant examinations.They were divided into acinar atrophy MGD obstructive MGD group according to the morphological differences of meibomian glands.After physical therapy combined with drug therapy,the effectiveness and clinical significance of treatment for patients with meibomian gland dysfunction were followed up and observed.Results:A total of 60 patients with MGD were included in this study,including 30 patients with acinar atrophy MGD and 30 patients with obstructive MGD.There were significant differences in age,gender,past medical history and other general data between the two groups.Before treatment,there was no significant difference in BUT,SIT and meibomian gland secretion score between the two groups.After treatment,there was significant difference in BUT and meibomian gland secretion score between the two groups(P< 0.05),but there was no significant difference in SIT before and after treatment between the two groups(P > 0.05).Conclusion:Drug combined with physical therapy had a significant effect on BUT and meibomian gland secretion scores in patients with obstructive MGD and acinar atrophy MGD,and obstructive MGD was more significant,and the SIT of MGD patients in both groups did not significantly improve after treatment.
