Advantages Of CEUS In Evaluating The Efficacy Of Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy For Breast Cancer In Different Types Of Breast Background

Objective:To determine whether or not different mammary gland background can impact the efficiency of evaluating neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer by contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS).Methods:The 103 breast cancers admitted to the Cancer Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2017 to September 2018 were divided into dense breast background group and non-compact breast background group according to the background ultrasound typing.We compared the ratio of two-dimensional ultrasound showing hyperechoic halo and contrast enhancement of enlarged enhancement range under different mammary gland backgrounds,the difference between the two methods of measuring the size of the lesion before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy,and the accuracy of the two methods to evaluate the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy Rate,to analyze the pathological basis of differences in imaging.Results : The proportion of two-dimensional ultrasound manifestation of hyperechoic rim signs in the dense breast background was lower than that in the non-compact breast background(χ2= 7.224,P= 0.007).The measurements of CEUS in different mammary glands are similar to the actual pathological size(P>0.05).On the background of dense breast,the two-dimensional ultrasound value before neoadjuvant chemotherapy is less than ultrasound contrast,and the two-dimensional ultrasound value after neoadjuvant chemotherapy is greater than ultrasound contrast(P<0.05).The sensitivity and specificity were 39.1%,70%,87%,and 83.3%,respectively;the sensitivity and specificity of evaluating the neoadjuvant chemotherapy efficacy of breast cancer in the non-compact breast background were 63.6%,76.5%,84.8%,and 88.2%,respectively.Conclusion:CEUS examination is not affected by breast background,and can improve the effectiveness of ultrasound technology in evaluating the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer.
