| The COVID-19 outbreak at the end of 2019 has had a significant impact on people’s lives and production. As a basic unit of national governance,community-level communities play an important role in preventing and controlling the spread of the epidemic, ensuring the livelihood of community residents and maintaining social stability.During the most severe period of the epidemic in China, local communities implemented "grid" management and established a top-down community prevention and control system to effectively control the spread of the epidemic on a large scale.Urban community workers played multiple roles and played an indispensable role in the prevention and control of COVID-19.While achievements have been made, there are still some problems in community prevention and control work, leading to the fact that the real advantages of community workers have not been fully brought into play, and they are faced with difficulties such as role conflicts. In the prevention and control of COVID-19,urban community workers mainly play nine roles:conflict negotiators, epidemic prevention propagandists, resource link providers, psychological counseling providers, grid managers, epidemic prevention force organizers, epidemic prevention program makers, epidemic prevention workers and information network builders. In the process of COVID-19 prevention and control, urban community workers showed five role dilemmas:role ambiguity, role overburden, role tension, role conflict and role responsibility and right. In view of these role dilemmas, this paper discusses the reasons for the role imbalance, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the four levels of government, community organizations, community residents and community workers,in order to provide experience and reference for urban community workers in COVID-19 prevention and control. |
